if you have ever had the opportunity to speak to me about my education, you would understand how difficult my academic journey has been for me.

I have never found identity through education, and this milestone ironically doesn't mean as much to me as it might for somebody else.

This degree represents the journey that it took to figure out who I was as an individual and what matters in finding identify within myself as a human.

I'm simply thinking of the version of myself in 2017 who really believed she would NEVER receive a degree, nor did I know how I was going to get there. I failed so many classes, & I failed in silence. Everyone around me was moving forward without me, and I felt like I couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Today I am in gratitude that I can be proud of this milestone & to feel that I am surrounded by so much love and support.

My family & my friends have shown me so much love every single day. And my friends stay reassuring me that I am so many things that I don't even see in myself yet.

Because of these people, I am so excited to adventure into the world with open arms 🤍

I'm free, we OUTSIDEEEEE!!!!! 😂😂😂
