What a great spring season of sessions we’re having! 🌸🐎📸 Casper tried his hardest to sabotage his time in front of the camera 😂🙈, but with a great team of helpers, he got cleaned up 🧼✨ and was honestly probably happier getting a good roll 🤎🌿 - and another bath 🚿 - in before starting LOL. He’s quite the character! 😅🐴 Annika and Casper make a great pair 💕 and we had the best time soaking up the evening sun 🌅 and exploring the property together 🌾🌳

Annika Karr | Senior | Plant HS | Tampa, FL

Wrapping up our Nationals highlights with one of our seniors and team captain, Annika Karr. At Nationals, she will represent Team RAVE in the Varsity Open 2’6” Flat division. A dedicated working student at Ravenwood Farm and future University of Florida Gator, she’s the kind of rider younger teammates look up to—always encouraging others, offering advice, and showing up for her team. Annika earned an impressive 56 combined points across the regular and postseason, putting up strong results all season long. We’re proud to have her leading the way. Wish her luck as she takes on Nationals!

Q: What does making it to IEA Nationals mean to you personally?
A: Making it to IEA Nationals truly feels like a full circle moment as I’m a senior this year and have been dreaming for this moment my entire IEA career!

Q: What’s one thing you’ve learned this season that made you a better rider or teammate?
A: One thing I learned this season is to really live in the moment and appreciate and cherish the friends and opportunities that surround you.

Q: What do you like to do outside of riding?
A: Outside of riding I really enjoy hanging out with my friends, drawing, and listening to music.

Q: What are your pre-show rituals—any must-do habits or superstitions?
A: Before I horse show I like to make sure my boots are all clean and polished, my hairnet is perfect and I look put together because if I feel like I look good then I feel more confident.

Q: Who is your favorite Ravenwood horse or pony?
A: My favorite horse at Ravenwood is Newt

Our annual Ravenwood IEA Trot-A-Thon is THIS Saturday, August 16th at 9am, and our riders are ready to drop their stirrups, post for 10 grueling minutes, and rack up as many laps as they can — all while wearing silly costumes!

💵 How it works:
Link in Bio!! Supporters can pledge a flat donation or donate per lap completed. You can pick a specific rider or team to support — or make a general donation to the Ravenwood IEA program. Proceeds help care for our amazing lesson horses, maintain safe tack, and lower show costs for our team.

🌟 Why it matters:
IEA makes equestrian competition accessible to all riders — no horse or personal tack required — leveling the playing field and giving kids from all backgrounds the chance to compete locally and nationally.

🍾 Champagne Derby:
After the Trot-A-Thon, stick around as our Boarders & Supporter compete in the Champagne Derby — a fun, silly competition with champagne (or sparkling cider) in hand, skill-based tasks, and prizes!

💖 Giving Back:
We love supporting our community! Each team will donate a portion of their fundraising to the charity of their choice.
