color doesn’t have to be a 10-year commitment.

when we keep the big pieces neutral (the sofa, rug, cabinetry, all the stuff that’s expensive to swap), the smaller accents get to do the talking. pillows and throws, a stack of books, a lamp, a piece of art (our personal fav). all of it can change with the season, your mood, or whatever color you’re obsessed with this year. and btw neutral doesn’t have to mean white or beige - it could be a muted green or blue that is versatile enough to be classic and timeless 👀

I’m late in the day posting this, but today officially marked 4 years of CG Studio Interiors. It’s hard to believe as it often feels longer and somehow shorter at the same time. I have a million photos I could share but i’ll just pick a few i love that represent what I love most. Our studio would not be the same without my amazing team - @jordan.smithington @ansleynoelbrown @jaelynnroark @jhsocialmarketing - thank you all for your unique gifts and talents that you bring to our studio and clients every day 🫶🏻

I am so blessed to do what I love each day, and to create for such wonderful clients. Thank you to all of our clients (old and new) who have supported us through the years. We appreciate you trusting us to create beautiful homes for you time and time again!

And a huge thank you to our hundreds of industry fellows, trade vendors, builder partners, reps, friends etc. who have played part in our projects. We wouldn’t want to do this without you!

Cheers to all of you, to us, and to (at least) 4 more amazing years. Bright things on the horizon 💫

we don’t design in a vacuum. we’re the ones standing in one room, looking into the next, asking what the two have to say to each other. usually we walk you through a project one room at a time. this one we’re giving you as a full house tour, but i want to show you how we create cohesive designs

cohesive is not picking a “theme” and running it into the ground. it’s choosing a few things you genuinely love and letting them carry through the whole home. for us, warm white oak, a little black, a fluted detail. repeat it enough to feel intentional and switch it up enough to keep it interesting.

when you do that, you stop noticing where one room ends and the next begins - it just feels like home, top to bottom
