Taking a closer look at the battery-on-board hail stand setup!
This slick adapter solution integrates a battery receiver directly onto the light stand, complete with a plug lock mechanism so your power source stays firmly locked in place while you adjust your light. Designed to work seamlessly with setups like X-Factor and Stucky (featuring a handy water ballast bag), this game-changing design has been a year in the making.

A huge thank you to Anson for the interview, and to the team from BLE who made the trip all the way over from England to share this amazing release with everyone!

And that's not all—there's more to share in Anson's interview and many other great interviews coming up on the podcast! Make sure you don't miss this week's episode!

COLD GLUE ⚔️ #iykyk

Cold glue is no different than hot glue when it comes to prep: you need a CLEAN panel.

Surface contaminants kill adhesion—and they’ll also get picked up by your cold glue, gunking it up and shortening the life of every piece you put on a tab.

My process:

Clean the panel → 91% alcohol to remove oils and residue → lightly warm the panel with my @milwaukeetool cordless heat gun → firmly press the cold glue tab into the panel.

Mechanical adhesion is what we’re after.

And when I pull, I’m usually not looking for raw POWER. I’m looking for TIMING.

I like a double tap: one good thump at the top of the extension, immediately followed by the pull at full extension. Think of it like double-bouncing someone on a trampoline. That first hit loads the panel—the second takes advantage of the movement and rebound already happening in the metal.

Timing over brute force. ⚔️

After the pull, I’ll use @willeyquick.tools Muk Off to remove any cold glue residue, followed immediately by 91% alcohol to remove anything the Muk Off leaves behind.

Now I’ve got a clean panel again and can decide:

Knock down—or reload and pull again.
