My new exhibition Concreteness is on display at @galleriasculptor in Helsinki. The exhibition is on display until March 26.

Concreteness is the opposite of utopia. All works in the exhibition are cast in concrete, which is a material strongly associated with durability, strength, and brutal everydayness. However, concrete is characteristically also fragile and brittle. The use of concrete in art turns it into a rough and vivid poetry, folding layers of time, incompleteness, and finality into an unstable balance.

The exhibition has been supported by the Arts Promotion Center Finland and the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
