Some conversations are uncomfortable—but they are necessary.

Too often, love is denied because of family interference, social class, clan, or ethnicity. These barriers continue to be the norm in our society. It’s time to challenge these mindsets and spread awareness. Love should be built on respect, character, and commitment—not prejudice.

My new single, JALOLETI, is inspired by my own experiences and reality. I hope its message brings healing to those who have experienced heartbreak and rejection, while encouraging us all to choose understanding over judgment.

Let’s build a society where love is celebrated, not judged.

An Open Letter to the Head of State of The Gambia 🇬🇲

Dear Mr. President,

I write as a deeply concerned Gambian who cares about the future, peace, and unity of our country.

I am increasingly concerned about the growing tribal and ethnic divisions among us. Growing up, many of us lived together peacefully without constantly thinking about which tribe we belonged to. We were simply Gambians.

Our diversity should be our strength, not a reason to divide us. Tribalism creates distrust and can hold back our country’s progress.

As our leader, I respectfully ask you to use your voice and platform to continue promoting unity, equality, and inclusion for every Gambian, regardless of their ethnic background.

We all have a responsibility to be mindful of the messages we spread and the example we set for the next generation. Let us teach our children that our differences should never be greater than our shared identity.

We are Gambians first. One Gambia, one people, one nation. 🇬🇲

May Allah continue to bless and protect our country.
