Recently spent 3 nights at @breezeholidayparks Cania Gorge. Such a great spot, with so much to do. We were lucky enough to be there for Monday nights camp oven dinner…amazing. The daily bird feeding of an afternoon was a hit everyone. So many things to keep the kids amused and burn off excess energy such as the pools and water park, jumping pillow, pedal karts and frisbee golf. The sites were all large and the park spacious enough that you didn’t feel on top of your neighbours. And you can have a fire, perfect now as the temps start to drop. Highly recommend a stay here to anyone traveling through the area.

Beautiful Betsy…she was an American B24 Liberator Bomber en route to Brisbane but unfortunately never made it. On the 26 February 1945 she disappeared without a trace, presumably crashed. Various search efforts turned up nothing of the aircraft or the 8 persons on board. For 49 years she sat untouched, strewn across the Kroombit Tops mountain side. On 2 August 1994 a park ranger discovered the wreck by chance. I’ve wanted to get here for a long time now and have a look and I have to say it was surreal and eerie walking amongst the wreck that is scattered across hundreds of meters. The force of the impact clearly visible in the wreckage. For me, the drive getting here was certainly worth it. #beautifulbetsy #kroombittops #kroombittopsnationalpark #centralqld

Some moments from the first half of our trip. We headed north this time to Cania, staying at the Big 4 park in Cania Gorge. Loved it. A quick 4WD trip to Kroombit Tops, visiting the wreck of Beautiful Betsy.

Been a while between camping trips for us, has been a hectic past 6 months, but we finally managed to sneak in a quick last minute long weekender to @bribieisland.

Another chilly weekend coming up, who is lucky enough to be getting away camping and sitting around a fire? Unfortunately not us, but here’s a throwback to our last trip. Feels warmer already. #jaycocamper #jaycoswanoutback #wintercamping #swannin_round #campfire #noosanorthshorebeachcampground
