Auto Team ZAZA December Beach Trip

The fellas came down from Atlanta for the weekend to hang out, and I tossed them the camcorder to see what they’d shoot. Here’s the outcome.

A mix of pictures from @tintworldmelbournefl show and the @dailydriveninc popup show in Cocoa.

Got to drive a V10 R8. It's nice. Fast. Sounds great.

@jetdavis.parts took care of me importing this S15. Super grateful for his knowledge and commitment to his customers. Can’t wait to drop the VET in and get laps with the boys.

I shot my first roll of B&W at the beach during golden hour- Though you could never tell. Despite the lack of color (obviously) I think the soft glow from an early dawn sky lent itself kindly to Ilford HP5's contrast

Everything I heard about Harmon's first iteration color film, Phoenix, manifested in these photos. It has narrow latitude, with crushed shadows and otherworldly color shift in the highlights. The grain is dense and coarse- And you'd be lucky to get anything near accurate color reproduction from an overexposed shot.

Objectively, this film is not very good. Which makes Harmon's decision to completely rebuild the chemistry for their next iteration all the more understandable.

Yet still, I find myself in love with this otherworldly interpretation of light. None of these images look the way I remember them, but parsing through them for the first time was like exploring an oddly familiar alternate reality.

These are from a Harmon color disposable I picked up in Tampa. My friends took me to the beach to watch the sunset and it was absolutely beautiful. I'm surprised at the range this camera/film had, and shooting with a flash helped me to capture a few photos after the sun went down.
