Another amazing Partner Day at Hope Academy!

It was especially special to have Anthony come with me today to see the kids we’ve partnered with since kindergarten. Somehow, they’re sophomores now!

What an honor to walk alongside them and support the education and experiences Hope Academy gives them. Being part of God’s mission here is such a gift. 🤍

If you’d like to learn more about partnering with Hope Academy, send me a message. I’d love to share why it means so much to our family!

Ending an awesome summer with my favorite humans in a special place with so much gratitude 🙏💕

11 years of the same picture. Same sign. Same spot. Two kids who have grown up right before my eyes.

The Minnesota State Fair was one of my mom’s favorite places, and somehow going every year has become one of those traditions that keeps a little piece of her with me.

Do my kids necessarily want to go to the fair with their parents every year to take this pic? Probably not😬

But they do it.

And someday I hope they know how much that means to me.

Thank you @anthonyradke_ and @annaradkee for appeasing your mom year after year. For taking the picture. For keeping the tradition going. And for giving me 11 years of this tradition that I will always treasure 🙏 Nana is watching with a happy heart 🌈

Same place next year?😂

Atlantic City memories made. 🌊☀️

Beach days, boardwalk walks, great food, mini golf champions 🏆, a museum inside of an elephant and lots of laughs😂These are the moments that fill my cup.

So thankful for the flexibility to say “yes” to trips like this and the quality family time that matters most. ❤️

They say it takes a village, and wow, did we feel that.💕

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate Anthony and the incredible young man he has become. Seeing so many people who have poured into his life, supported him, and cheered him on over the years was truly humbling.

Our hearts are full, our cups are overflowing, and we couldn’t be more proud. We love you, Anthony, and can’t wait to watch you soar.

Thank you all for making it a night we’ll never forget. 🎓✨💚

And just like that… one of the biggest chapters closes. 🎓

Last night we watched Anthony graduate from Hill-Murray Magna Cum Laude, and while my heart could burst from pride, part of me wishes I could slow time down just a little.

He’s been ready for this moment for years. Strong, focused, hardworking, and never afraid to be exactly who he is. But as parents, I’m not sure we’re ever ready for these moments.

The ceremony was beautiful, but watching all of them walk out without us felt symbolic in a way I wasn’t prepared for. One season ending. Another beginning.

Anthony, what a privilege it has been to be your parents. We are endlessly proud of you and cannot wait to watch the life God has planned for you unfold. Go soar, bud. 🤍

The fastest 6 weeks… but SO fun to watch 🎾❤️

Watching Anthony try tennis for the first time this year, improve so much, meet new people, and truly enjoy the experience was such a gift. Love that this is a sport he can play for life.

Huge thanks to @taylor.voigt_ for all the motivation and practice sessions and to everyone who joined the fan club to cheer him on 🙌

Ending the season getting to play doubles at Individual Sections today was the icing on the cake. May have been one and done, but such an honor and the perfect ending to his first and last tennis season. So proud of you, bud 🖤💚

This kid has been a goalie since 1st grade. Years of early mornings, travel all over the U.S., and friendships to last a lifetime. So many life lessons wrapped up in that one sport. He took on something that stretched him, he worked hard, learned a lot, and it didn’t end the way he thought it would. No hard feelings, just growth, perspective, and the ability to look into the future. But here’s what stuck with me…he handled it with maturity, learned from it, and quietly chose to move on. He hasn’t put his skates on since.
If I’m being honest, I think it’s harder on us as parents sometimes. Letting go of what we thought the plan was. The story we had in our heads. We never pushed him, but it’s wild how kids can start something at 5 years old and feel like they have to stick with it forever. For some, that path is exactly right, and we’ve been lucky enough to know and cheer on so many of those kids who are so amazingly talented and so fun to watch!
But watching Anthony pivot… try something new… and then WIN his first tennis match tonight 🥹
There is just something about watching your kids become exactly who THEY are. No expectations. No disappointment. No pressure. Just watching them choose… and then seeing the JOY when they are at peace!!!
It also might be the biggest reminder for me. God’s plan is always better than ours… IF we trust Him. Even when it doesn’t look like what we pictured.
Did I ever think I’d be a tennis mom?Nope.
Will I be at every match I can?
You bet. 💚
