Ashley has been there for every step. Every decision. Every paint color, texture, finish, and tiny detail that has brought the new Blush to life.

As the owner and founder of Blush, she has poured so much of herself into making the Phoebe Hart House feel like more than our new location. She wanted it to feel like our new home.

And from the beginning, that meant finding the balance between honoring the character of this historic Portsmouth house while still making it feel unmistakably Blush.

We’re not trying to recreate exactly what was here before us. Instead, we’re letting the history of the home guide us. Keeping the character that makes it special, while bringing in our own colors, textures, finishes, and modern touches.

You’ll see that balance throughout the entire space, from the details we’ve preserved to the soft, plaster-like texture of the entryway floors. Nothing is meant to pretend it has always been here. It’s meant to feel like it belongs here.

Old and new, coming together beautifully.

A historic home with a new chapter ahead. And after pouring so much love into every corner of it, we’re finally ready to welcome you home.

The new Blush on the Hill opens this week, September 24. 🤍

P.S. from Ashley:
Jokes aside, my husband George deserves SO much credit for this renovation. He has been right there with me every single day, putting in so much work and helping bring this vision to life. I truly couldn’t have done this without him. 🤍 And for the record, every tradesperson I hired was also a man 😂 So while I’m having fun with this trend, there are a lot of hardworking men who deserve some love for helping make the new Blush happen!
