This is such a fun way to celebrate a special occasion or even just explore a new city! I did a bunch of research on what San Franciscans consider to be the most unique or delicious dessert options in their city, and truly you could spend three days doing this and not visit every stop. I chose a few that sounded particularly delicious and were close together and we went with that! Steal our San Francisco DIY Dessert Crawl stops in order: 📍Anthony’s Cookies 📍Smitten Ice Cream 📍Tartine Bakery 📍Thorough Bread & Pastry 📍Choux Some other desserts I would try if I were to do this again: 📍Three Babes Bakeshop 📍San Francisco’s Hometown Creamery 📍Belly Good Cafe & Crepes 📍Philmore Creamery 📍Boudin Bakery 📍Dynamo Donut 📍Schubert’s Bakery 📍Sweet Glory on Inner Sunset Have you tried any particularly special San Francisco desserts that you’d offer up as delicious options? Share them in the comments for our next trip! ————————— Follow along with our full time travel family of 5 as we explore North America in our renovated RV and share all the tips and tricks we’ve learned about full time RV life, worldschooling, and travel with kids. We’re raising global citizens who understand their privilege, and we hope you will, too. Follow @kateophalen My favorite thing to do is inspire families to travel and learn together. I’ve written blog posts and e-books that I hope help you go for it! 🙌🏼 Find them in my bio or at ophalenadventures.com 📖

May 26, 2026 - @anthonyscookies 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ By far the best cookies I’ve ever had. I would come here every day if I could. So many cookies to try! We got the chocolate chip and walnut chocolate chip and both were phenomenal. Loved every bite! If you’re in the mission area, grab a few cookies from here, you won’t be disappointed!

March 21, 2026 - @anthonyscookies 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Recommendation to review: If you’re in mission, you HAVE to get these cookies. Absolutely one of the best cookies in California. We got the classic chocolate chip, cookies and cream, the toffee chip, and the walnut chocolate chip. Apart from the classic chocolate chip being exceptional we also really liked the walnut chocolate chip. Highly recommended to go! Also had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was super nice and talked to us for a bit! Thanks @stoolpresidente for the recommendation!
