August 2nd. My dad’s 64th birthday would have been today.

On top of that, me and Emily got to say goodbye to what has been @easyluckorl for the last 8 years. Easy luck is my home. They are my friends. My pal Tanner, one of the owners, especially has really believed in me over and over with so many of my creative ideas.

Easy luck was the first place I ever popped up and sold Polaroids professionally. It’s where I kicked off my first ever @runtheweekendproject event. It’s been home to so many highs and lows. Easy Luck are my friends and I know I’m not alone in that.

We also had our first ever house warming party today. Across 4 hours we watched 30 of our friends pour into our home, bring kindness, love and gifts.

It was the first time I’ve ever had a house warming party with a partner and the first time I feel like I’ve really had a home as an adult.

I say all of this; because life is filled with so many ups and downs. Sometimes in a single day it can be filled with death, joy, loss, new beginnings, and everything in between. It is unpredictable. It is wild. It is not fair.

I miss my dad. I will miss the place of Easy Luck that I’ve called a home of coffee, creativity, and friendships for the last 8 years.

But yet, still, somehow life continues to find new ways to open up and show us beauty and grace. I sit in a new home and reflect. I don’t understand it. I don’t understand how so much pain can exist while life continues to give us new beginnings over and over. It really is something to behold.

If you’re struggling today, keep going. Hold space for the complexity. Love your friends. Be grateful for what you’ve got. All of it. And if life seems unbearable, i promise that it will get better. It always does. Always. Keep going friends!!

Two games. One unstoppable spirit.
Orlando clashed with ERAU in a nail-biter (39–43) and came back stronger in the second matchup, taking a commanding 52–7 win against a combined ERAU/Claymore side.

Back-to-back games, relentless energy, and a whole lot of heart on the field 🏉💪
