🎃 Ce-ar fi dacă toamna aceasta ar avea forma unui dovleac creat chiar de copilul tău? 🍂
🎃 Maximum 10 locuri

It's time for this week's book! 🥰 And the female author I want to introduce this week is none other than @virginiamacgregorwrites!

This week's pick is "The Astonishing Return of Norah Wells," and it's warm, wise, clever, and deeply emotional.

One ordinary day, Norah walks out of her house and never comes back. Six years later, she returns, only to find another woman in her place. Fay, the woman who came into her life, has held her family together, shared a bed with her husband, and become “Mummy” to Norah's younger daughter.

With Norah's return, a series of questions arise within the family: Where has she been? Why did she leave? And why is she back?

Each member of the family has their own questions, but perhaps the most important one is: What happens to Fay now, after she has been there for Norah's family through it all?

Looking forward to reading this one! ❤

Huge book haul from @anticexlibris and the last three were thrifted at the insane amout of 3$.
I read 'East of Eden' translated in Romanian, years ago, but I needed to have it in my library written in English ❤️
And as always, my boyfriend with the coolest TBR list (Heller, Hesse, Remarque, Cutter)

For this Book of the Week, we have another female author I'd love to introduce, and this time, we're featuring her debut novel.

I'm talking about Amelia Morris and this week's pick, "Wildcat." A novel that's funny yet deep, smart and full of heart.

Our main character, Leanne, is an aspiring writer whose life changes completely after becoming a mother. While struggling with grief over her father and the confusion that comes with this new chapter, she also discovers that the best friend she was counting on for support has been secretly backstabbing her.

Caught in the chaos and expectations of domestic life, Leanne feels like she's slowly losing herself. Now, she's ready to challenge the social narrative she's been fed all her life and find a sense of power within herself.

Looking forward to reading this one! ❤️

*** Book Review ***
☆
I've read "The Villa" by Rachel Hawkins recently. I was expecting it to be more scary and more of a thriller than it actually was. But, it did have mystery and suspens and it was an interesting read, in the end. The action takes place in two diferent time frames and I liked how they entwine. We have two pairs of girls who are close (friends and sisters) in these time frames and I liked how the girls' lives and actions from the present day time period were influenced by what the ones from the past did at the Italian villa where all of them spent their vacations at some point. I liked the actual plot twist from the end of the book (about what Mari actualy did), though some aspects about what happend along the way were predictable.
A book that I enjoyed and I would recommend. I'm giving this book 4 stars out of 5: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

My most precious Cranford book collection (so far 😅)
They might not be too many, but I tried to pick some of the best works for now. Will definitely add more soon, just need to do some girl math first 💸
Am I missing any must-haves? 🖤
