I need to take a moment to thank the sponsors of the Port Hope Turkey Vulture Festival. I could not put this festival on without them. I could weep with gratitude for their contributions.

A few plans for sweet September 🍎🍐

Grab a warm coffee.
Wander an orchard.
Pick some apples.
Bake something sweet.
Pull out your favourite knits.
Spend a slow morning at home.
Take a country drive with the windows cracked.
Wander a small town.
Get lost in an antique shop.
Bring home some flowers.
Light the candle before dinner.
Make something with whatever’s in season.
Put on a comfort movie.

Save a few for the weekends ahead. September doesn’t last nearly long enough. 🤎

On Sundays we antique. Its like a treasure hunt and you never know what you will find.

Sometimes I find a bargain. Sometimes I become Cruella de Vil. 🖤 #porthopeontario @antiquesonqueen

UPDATE! We have now added Farley Mowat Park to our Conservation Village, in addition to Rotary Park. We are excited to expand our conservation village across the bridge.
This is a free event! If you’re able, we encourage you to support one of our conservation vendors by making a donation. We will also be raising funds to support Turkey Vulture research (via @islandraptors) helping to better understand these beautiful birds.

Keep Calm & Carrion!
🖤❤️🖤

If you choose A Romantic Period Drama (think: Downton Abbey, Bridgerton) then make time to explore @antiquesonqueen !

This multi-dealer shop next door to the Capitol Theatre sells gorgeous furniture, antique and estate jewellery, couture, textiles, silver, glass, and rare books spread across three floors.

Port Hope’s Victorian-era commercial district is one of the most intact in Canada, with heritage storefronts, a river running through the middle of town, and a gorgeous historic theatre. The carefully preserved buildings house all kinds of treasures and treats!
