✨🪩Dream Team Retreat🪩✨

This Team: superstars, people leaders, purpose driven. This Work: mission critical, life affirming.

We spent our team retreat bonding, strategy mapping, learning how to be better listeners and making SMART goals. We spent instrumental time with key leadership and being mission focused.

We are in our “renaissance era,” guided by rebirth, renewal, and simplification…revisiting our past to reinvent our future offerings!

Next year is a big one as we celebrate 30 years of competitive, meaningful employment for people with IDD. Excited for all the resources we look to provide our 36 teams across the US to best serve our more than 1,000 participants in the workplace as well as all we will do to expand our employer trainings and education…#inclusioninaction

So thankful for the best team in the game that brings vision to life, keeps the mission at heart, and makes our program dynamic!!! What good fortune we have to execute on our mission of inclusion daily, transforming the workforce one job at a time! #unleashthelegends #espresso #workplacewednesday #dreamteam #innerbeyonce #inclusion #renaissance

Last bbq of the weekend - yesterday! I adore lots of different salads - and being creative with what is in our fridge... Blood oranges layered with fennel and it was supposed to be radicchio but I had chicory kicking around...
Ottelenghi’s chargrilled aubergines with black garlic dressing...if no black garlic🤷‍♀️😉you could substitute and dabble with blackstrap molasses and garlic for a darkened depth to his yogurt dressing....and nearly out of fresh herbs here too - just relying on a trusty basil plant... White kidney beans with red onion and tomatoes topped with halloumi and Kalamata olive oil....simple and delish!
Spot the Dukah ruffled filo Spanakopita...my mother makes a really good Greek spinach and feta pie - and last night at our virtual supper her’s came out tops. Living in isolation is testament to good friendships in relationships - she made me laugh as she arrived on our screen with her pie and plonked an unopened bottle of Prosecco down with one glass! Pie and bubbles? Why not! (My father hasn’t drunk now for years...) Here’s to a really Mediterranean week 🥂 #stayhome #greekfood #mediterraneandiet #wastenofood #wattsfarm #kentproduce #localfood

This week is a Greek week in our family as homage to my late Greek grandma - Yaya - a real inspirational cook in my childhood - an intuitive cook too, when she ran out of flour half way through a cake she substituted with semolina powder (and it worked!) or substituting vine leaves with savoy cabbage leaves for her dolmades....a genius with sewing, knitting and endless crochet - a scrabble fanatic in several languages and quite mathematical not just a creative. Yaya’s diet looking back was full of superfoods - typically Mediterranean and Middle Eastern and really quite healthy...my inspiration well before Ottelenghi ....here is a super lunch to start the week after all the bbq prep yesterday:
baba ganoush with chargrilled aubergine and garlic....roasted peppers and courgettes with beautiful red onions and purple kale from Watts Farm...I love massaging kale with sea salt and a dash of Oliorama...I love pure white ceramics but also the intensity of the food colours often dictate which plate or bowl I gravitate too... #vegan #greekvegan #lockdown #handthrownpottery #healthyliving #staysafe
