Stories lose their names, images outlive what they once held, and wounds move from one body to another. The past returns in fragments, through repetitions, coincidences and inherited silences. In July, I hosted my first artist showcase event, SPOT ON, at Fixotek @fixotek, and what a blast it was!

Thank you to everyone who came, shared the day with us, and supported all the beautiful artists and designers.

And to all the incredible artists, designers and performers who were part of the event, whether you were selling your designs, performing, exhibiting your work, DJing, cooking, helping behind the scenes, or simply bringing your energy into the space: thank you!

Thank you for your art, music, dance, ideas, mix, creativity, designs, choreography, visions, help, patience, hard work and dedication. It truly means a lot.

A special thank you to Antonio Grunefeld @antogrun and the whole Fixotek team for helping me bring my vision for this event to life.

We are pleased to present They Knew They Were Eating Thick Air, an exhibition by Jana Grewe @janagrewe and Elisa Pastora @_elisapastora curated by Antonia Grunefeld.

Moving through opposing forces, the exhibition understands atmosphere as an active substance rather than a backdrop. Exploring where different temporalities meet, and where change and permanence coexist.

Shape it, paint it, play with texture.

We’ll build a medium-sized plant pot from scratch and finish it however you like: color, marks, textures.

Con mi amiga @antoniagrunefeld estaremos en Chile y daremos un taller en @fresardpetitlaurent , donde mezclaremos dos técnicas: Nerikomi e ilustración.

Partiremos aprendiendo la técnica de Nerikomi, un método japonés que trabaja con arcillas pigmentadas, mezclándolas, comprimiéndolas y cortándolas para crear patrones y diseños únicos. Cada participante podrá realizar un set de un bowl y un plato.

Luego, intervendrán sus piezas con ilustraciones utilizando la técnica de collage con engobes, para darles un cierre personal y expresivo.

Es un taller de fecha única, ya que estaremos en Chile solo por un tiempo.

¿Qué incluye?
• Pasta gres en tres colores
• Materiales y herramientas para usar durante el taller
• Esmaltado transparente y horneado de las piezas*
• Envío de las piezas dentro de Santiago
• Picoteo y bebestibles

*Estos ítems serán realizados por el profesor posterior al workshop.

Con el team compuesto entre la Elisa, la Anto y yo, armamos este fanzine con textos de las tres, además de Caro y el Igna.
Todas las imágenes son de la Elisa.
El contenido está en resonancia con sus últimos años de creación artística, donde se cruzan sus obras, procesos, reflexiones e inspiraciones varias.

El bonus track fue un clásico juego de infancia, cuyo nombre averiguamos que es comecocos, adivinador, fortune teller, etc.; el papelito 🪄🪅
