@lhsboyshockey went up against one of the top teams in Minnesota at the A1 Semifinals. Northfield went up 2-0 after the second period. Even though the Eagles were down, they fought back by cutting the deficit in half with @nolandubois08 goal, 2-1.
With @antonackley1 keeping the Eagles in the game with 20 saves and the team made a tough effort in the third period, Northfield had the puck and put it into the empty net which sealed the game, 3-1.
Eagles had a good season and made every minute count. Every pass, every goal, every save. They play for their teammates and showed what they do on the ice.
Knowing these players for a few years and being able to film every chance I can, it was a joy to watch.

🦅 ANOTHER SHOUTOUT - ANTON ACKLEY #31

A quick, brief, but important recognition of our senior goaltender Anton Ackley.

Anton came in to this program as a sophomore ready to work, grind, and improve from an already blessed skill set. He has done just that! Anton has improved every year and it is a testament to his work ethic in practice, competitive nature, and drive to be better each and very day!

It should also be noted, and maybe the saying “A rising tide lifts all boats” exemplifies our overall strength at the goaltender position this season, having peers and underclassmen pushing Anton to be at his best each and every day.

In the ultimate team sport, it is important to recognize when a player stands out, especially across the entire state of hockey! Anton currently leads the state in GAA (goals against average) and is 2nd in SV% (save percentage)

We are thankful for our goalie coaches as well!!
