#myoldest #mancub My son Dallas is my oldest son! Today is his #birthday! I can’t believe you are 34! Son you have made me so proud! You had some struggles but like the man you have become at 19 you refused to let the hard times define you, finished up a cad course and took every opportunity that came your way, you refused to let all the things that made your life challenging down and kept moving forward, better jobs earned you a better life! I can still remember at 24 you were so proud to tell me you were debt free, you paid your car and your girls car off, paid off credit cards you didn’t have any debt, you traveled a little you grew up became a stand independent man ! You leveled up your life of your own will and determination! You did it without help you earned everything set out to do! My biggest gift is that I am here alive able to see you making it! I couldn’t be happier or more proud of you son!! I fucking love you!!

My little #twins are not so little anymore! My older kids are all grown up and the twins are my last kiddos at home! My older kiddos never had the opportunity to go to the #MarineCorps Ball, so there was a last minute opportunity for the twins to go the 250th celebration with one of my #mentors Col. Bruce Barnes as the guest speaker we made it happen within a couple of days! Being a Marine is one of greatest accomplishments, but earning the title #Dad and #grandpa is priceless! @izzabella_gonz will hate these pictures but I’m her dad and I do what I want! Izzy is a beautiful, intelligent strong willed young lady who has grown into a beautiful young woman who I couldn’t be more proud of,she is as intelligent as her momma but has my bad attitude, it really shows when when she on the mat @sierra_m_m_a and is a straight savage who tries to take me out for real, that will take her far in the world! @avanderlay2134 has also gone from being a little boy into a handsome young man, who is kind and funny as fuck! Vandy has also stepped on the mat @sierra_m_m_an and is representing the Gonzales name along with his twin sister and I couldn’t be more proud of what he will accomplish! I love my kids like no other, where I’ll miss them when they get to the point that they are on their own, but I’m also the dad that realizes they need to get out on their own to figure life out, I won’t baby them and hold their hands so that they grow up, but I will always be here if they need me to get them through a bump in the road, but these are both the same kids that when they were in Second grade wrote me 2 checks one for food and one for rent! Lol they picked up on my grouchy ass expectations at really early age and for that reason I know they are gonna be ok in this world! Much love everybody!! Gonzo Sends

I was home in #Idaho doing some work and cleaning at my #mommas house! The trips for me are always ones where I can go home relive the beautiful #memories of this beautiful old house where there was always plenty of laughter, family dinners, or ass chewing normally well deserved because somehow I just never learned to keep my big mouth shut lol! We didn’t have a lot of money, but you would have never known, we always had food on our plates,a warm place to sleep and clothes on our backs! My momma and Pops used to stand at this window all the time and just look out into the little town in Burley! But now as an adult I can feel that, the hardships that parents endure just so that their kids can have a beautiful life! You see my parents just didn’t say they wanted better for all of us they sacrificed of themselves every day, working, worrying, teaching and making sure we understood that life could be difficult if we weren’t prepared for adulthood, they never let us quit or shy away from anything it was always do what you say you’re going to do and be proud of everything you worked so hard to accomplish, who cares what others think, they won’t be paying your way through life! I have 3 sisters all college graduates and killing it in life with their families, my little brother is probably one of the most successful and sought after home builders in Idaho, I served and retired from an almost 24 yr career in the Marines! As I stood looking out this window with my heart heavy because I miss them both,I found myself saying thank you momma and pops for everything you sacrificed to give us this beautiful life with opportunity! Momma and Pops we did it and it’s all because of you! If your parents are still here tell them these important things now,not after they’re gone! I’m fortunate to have told them this when they were alive and I’m here to tell you I can’t help but stare out this window and feel like I didn’t do it enough! Much love my people! Gonzo Sends

Some people wait all their lives to find the one they #love ! This #handsome boy my son @avanderlay2134 and his #beautiful girlfriend @sadie.xoxo24 seem to have found the perfect match for each other! They are young and I know they have a lot of life to live, but I couldn’t be happier for them both, they build each other up and have respect for each others goals and support each other, to me far more mature than I would expect from #teenagers ! @the_rhetorical_situation and myself love miss Sadie and everything about her she’s kind and respectful and honestly when she’s with us she just feels like family to us and her and Molly have a pretty cool relationship where she really just fits in like family! We were really happy to have been able to share memories with the Vandal and this beautiful young lady in his Senior year and I really can’t wait to see how many more #memories we will be able to be part of as the year goes on! I’m really proud of what Vandy and Izzy have both done with #hightschool this year, they both passed their #driverslicense test and officially road certified. Funny how i’ve waited for them to grow up, but godamn every time they drive off it puts a lump in my throat, my babies are not babies anymore! This is #dadlife❤️ Gonzo Sends

I learned a lot from my #momma what a #beautiful #pillar of #strength . I lost my mom and it still feels like yesterday because it still #fucking #hurts like nothing i’ve ever felt! I was never a #mommas boy but somehow I just knew I could depend on my momma for #strength I never told my mom when I struggled or was struggling but somehow she always knew, she would say ‘I don’t know what the hell kinda #shit you got yourself into but you better find a way to get out of it!’ I would just laugh and handle my own shit!! What a powerful lesson in be a big kid cause nobody should have to carry you without ever having to raise her voice, now that’s a power!! I miss you momma and wish I could hear your voice and hug you one more time!! Abrasos momma!!
