POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
The past couple of weeks have been crazy. Preparing for an emergency services competition in November meant my days consisted of running into burning buildings 🧑🏻‍🚒 then nighttime racing to a venue to play the best shows of my life 🎤 I lead such a double life. Save em during the day and make em cry at night 😂 Stay tuned - STOW season has only started 😈😤🩷

What makes Unplugged so different to any other open mic? It’s not that it’s ’better’ or ‘cooler’ or any other word people use to compare.. it’s that we have witnessed time & again what removing the barrier of a microphone does inside the room. It’s just like taking off a mask and asking the room to hold with you the part of your story you are sharing. Asking them to look a little deeper into your eyes. It’s revealing the truth of who you are and it does not feel like a performance. Our art is the stories we have lived. They are the people we have loved. They are what we have lost, and what we hope to meet next. This Sunday will be no different, except it will. It will be a new configuration of humans in room. New voices expressing. New faces meeting for the first time. Joined by @georginadacheff taking on the place of live artist & @hankyvanp taking the closing spot! Home at the beautiful @sans_bar_ Book your ticket, we only go forward if we have cushions filled. ✨ Much love, and see you soon. 📸 & edits: @bymiriamelise

Full disclosure, show 130 last night may not have been as fully prepared as normal as I was away all weekend but we had lots of fun. Having Calico City join me in the studio was a real treat. We had a great chat and played tracks from the new EP - Second In Line. A little later Charlie & Goldie blew through the studio like a whirlwind. We got to hear some unreleased tracks recorded live at Sullivan Hall last year and chat about their musical careers and upcoming shows. I played previews of new tracks from Calida Sari & Don’t Tell Daisy plus loads more brand new music. You can listen to a recording of the full show on the In The Scene page of the 107.3 HFM website. The Tidal & Spotify playlists will be added to my linktree later this week once all tracks I played are released.

ahem, may we have ur attention please every week for the last year or so the bar has dressed to a theme on Thursday simply for the sheer whimsical joy of it we’ve recently started posting the themes so our patrons can participate you can find the secret theme at the end of the caption on our plug and play posts previous themes include: sunnies and glasses, back to school, tim burton characters, shirt swap, name badges (but only if it isn’t ur name), alfoil hats, 90s, solid colour, band t-shirts and many more every week we force the staff to vote for what they want to do (they love it, we swear) and now we’re asking you for your theme suggestions no suggestions are too weird. no themes are too much. Leave ur thoughts in the comments secret theme: blue 🐟💙🐬🦋🧢🥶 📸 @daynadrapermedia #thirstythursday #indibar #livemusicperth #perthmusicscene #perthisok
