When I first started tattooing, there weren’t many Black artists I knew about, especially coming from California. @antthaxton was always somebody I looked up to and whose work inspired me early on.

So being able to come together years later and collaborate on a full back is a full-circle moment for me.

I set a goal this year to see how many full backs I could take on and really push myself creatively. This one meant something different. We spent an entire day creating an original concept from scratch, then three days straight bringing it to life.

From looking up to the work to working side by side.

Grateful for the opportunity, the trust, and the art we created together. Much respect @antthaxton 🤝🏾

GOD BLESS AMERICAAA! 🇺🇸

None of it would be possible if my jefita never brought me to the promise LAnd at the age of 3. It was never easy, pops denied us when we arrived because he was too high on drugs. Moms didn’t give up even though we were homeless our first couple days in the states. It’s been a battle ever since. Landed in the worst apartments Azusa had to offer but it was the best damn childhood i could’ve ever asked for. I lost so many friends/brothers to drugs and gun violence I wouldn’t be able to count them with my fingers if I had your hands to help me. I realized depression wasn’t an option for us, sometimes i see depression as a luxury but many wouldn’t understand that. Really worked for it all since I crossed foot on this LAnd… 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽

Cheers and blessings to the LAnd of opportunity. Grateful for it all and wouldn’t want it any other way.

DREAM. BELIEVE. ACHIEVE 🎯

I’m a couple days late but this month marks three years since I completed my apprenticeship, quit my job, and decided to persue tattooing by any means necessary.
I’ve put it in countless hours and a ton of effort to get to where I’m at. Just like anyone else trying to chase a dream and leave a mark. But I wanna make this less about me and more about you all.

I’ve had encouragement and support from the jump, mentors that invested their time and effort into me, and some of the best artists that I’ve worked beside that genuinely wanted to see me win.

And to anyone that has collected from me, in any point in time, I wouldn’t be here without you all. From the garage tatts, to my first big pieces, and now to sleeves and panels. Thank you all for your trust and support.
To anyone that has ever given me even an ounce of game, or an inch of canvas. I thank you, genuinely. Tatting changed my life, in more ways than you might think.

Progression is the goal for me, and it’s been that way from the jump. Let’s see what the future holds. As always, much love!
