Join us on the 12th for our private View of 24/7 at @hyphastudios 6-9pm! The exhibition ‘24/7’ brings forth works looking into the connection humans share with time and labour. Presenting kinetic works that function independently from solar time, these ideas around duration are considered where they actively operate throughout the exhibition regardless of an audience or not. Paired with static works ruminating upon apparatus, altering states and the body, the exhibition seizes to open questions surrounding the shifting relationship of labour with technology. 24/7 Curated by Angelos Kotzias and Lucy Ellis Private View: 12th of October 2026 Open: 8th of October- 15th of November Thursday-Sunday (11am-6pm) Hypha Gallery Southbang, 42 Southwark Bridge Rd. This is @anusualpaper ‘s #reusestory ✨ Meet Aurora - a bookbinder, collector, and believer in the magic of “one day, this could be useful.” It started with notebooks What began as making notebooks for herself slowly became something much bigger. Bookbinding first found her in high school, but years later, during the pandemic, she rediscovered the craft through a tutorial by Libri Finti Clandestini, using scraps of paper she found at home. A family habit She’s always collected things. There might be a little hoarder in her DNA - inherited from her mum, and perhaps even her grandfather, who believed that “one day, this could be useful.” Over time, those boxes of old books, magazines, discarded paper, and overlooked scraps became part of her creative practice. Making space for the forgotten Each notebook is shaped by the materials available, the season of life she’s in, and the stories hidden inside forgotten things. What started as a practical way to make something to write in became a way of recognising potential and giving used materials another life. More than bookbinding Selling her work at markets introduced her to people who see the world in a similar way. Strangers became friends, connected by a shared love of reusing, reclaiming, and making something new from what was left behind. Because it’s never just about making notebooks. It’s about paying attention, and remembering that discarded materials, and perhaps even discarded ideas, can always become something new. Surfacing - New noises pushing against the grain. 📍hARTslane, 17 Hart’s Ln, London SE14 5UP Private View: 14th August 5PM - 8PM Opening times: 15th to 16th of August 12PM - 5PM Scrapbooking Workshop: 14th August 2PM-5PM ROOD multidisciplinary show. Digging beneath the ground, Surfacing gathers artists at the edge of visibility, whose work sits between the recognised and unidentified, between exposition and concealment. Across painting, sculpture, sound, photography and performance, these are practices constructed around the unveiling of the external. Tearing the shell apart, melting the outer layer, displaying the structures within- a surfacing of the unseen. Combining a curated visual arts show along with sound, performance, workshop, and an interactive piece to be made with the audience across three days, this multidisciplinary event is an exploration of material distortions, ruptures, and reconfigurations. It invites emerging artists and audiences to question and observe beyond the exterior. To dig up what sits underneath.
