Good day and welcome to Panza, the beating heart of Ischia 🌿💙

Panza, a charming village in the municipality of Forio, is a slice of paradise where nature, history, and tradition come together in an unforgettable experience. With its 7,000 inhabitants, Panza stretches across rolling hills, crystal-clear seas 🌊, and breathtaking views 🌅, capturing the very essence of an island that steals your heart.

In this photo, three friends sit on a bench, soaking in the warmth of the sun and embracing the sweetness of life ☀️🌸—a moment of pure tranquility, just as it should be in Panza.

The village’s roots run deep in history, with boundaries defined in the 1871 and 1881 censuses. From the village of Succhivo in the east to the endless sea in the south and west, Panza is a land where past and present coexist harmoniously. The lively San Leonardo square, along with homes scattered on scenic streets like Campestre, Bocca, Citara, and Montecorvo, each offers panoramic views of both the sea and mountains 🏞️.

Panza is not just a destination, it’s a journey that leaves you in awe. Only 5 km from Forio, this village welcomes visitors with the warmth of its traditions and a votive shrine to Saint Vito, Forio’s protector ⛪. Along the way, the Becco d’Aquila rock stands as a silent guardian of this magical place, where every step stirs the soul.

Panza is more than a place – it’s an experience that captures your heart, fills you with wonder, and stays with you forever. A place where time seems to stand still, and nature and community thrive in their purest form 🌸✨

Photographs I took this last week of Grade1 listed Doddington Hall just south of Nantwich Cheshire. I’ve known this property for 30+ years. The roof was restored around 10 years ago at the insistence of English Heritage – however, in my view this property is still gravely at risk #doddingtonhallcheshire #doddingtonhallestate #nantwich #cheshire #grade1listed #grade1 #samuelwyatt #delvesbroughton

We have trees here too and thought you would like to see one of ours. I can’t balance on the branches with my webs of course! #where_the_duck_is_cedric🥚🐣🐥🦆 #ThisIsNotJustATree

Mega Midi Modest. Looking across the River Medway, over land to a building in Sheerness Docks at the mouth of the Medway. A pylon (300ft) and cables on Isle of Grain. And Prospector 1 oil drilling platform, with three retractable legs each 547ft high - Mega indeed.

The left house (circa 1900) was detached. Then about 2008 the owner of the original built the right hand house. Amazing dedication to detail.
