😱SPOOKY WEEK😱 A very very scary week of dressing up ahead of us this Halloween! On the 28th we’ll begin the festivities in Wavelength above Cyprus Avenue alongside our dearest, dearest ghouls @evilscientistttt & @gorillaxgorilla Right after, on Halloween night itself we’ll be opening the first NARROWFEST!! Sharing the stage @fred_zeppelins with our friends @theslugsband_ , @queenlesskingsmusic & @rexarcum !! ☀️ANOTHER DAY☀️ Well, it’s finally upon us, Our second single, “Another Day,” will be yours as of October 27th. This song is very important to us, and we hope it can be very important to you too. ⁉️TOUR OVER⁉️ The Raftafarians were newly baptised last weekend on their FIRST EVER (unofficial) IRISH TOUR!! We had the most fun time ever kicking it all off @cranelanetheatre with out best pals @gorillaxgorilla & @henosisband with one of the craziest crowds amassed for a GREAT CAUSE!! More news on how much was raised shortly… us musicians get lazy with posting stuff but we mean well I swear! And then there was more… words are failing me right now, and they have been for a week now. I cannot sum up the absolute gratitude and excitement surrounding our first ever out of county shows, especially not when I’m speaking on behalf of four of us, but all I’ll say is that was incredible. Thank you so much to all the people that got down early to catch our sets @monroeslive in Galway & @thewatchtower_mchughs in Drogheda!! We will certainly be back!! An absolute blast was had!! And what a band to do it with. I think I speak for all of us when I say it was an absolute honour to open for the greatest ever @smithereeeeeeeens and it was just some of the most fun we’ve ever had, both gigging and just hanging out watching family guy clips with the lads (and getting pushed oved by Noah. I will hold this grudge forever). Special thanks aswell to the Armenian Demon, the one and only @sammy_hovhannisyan for filling in on drums 🥁 for the two out of county shows. That guy is a MENACE. Anyways, without getting too teary-eyed and boring you all, a massive thank you is in order to every single one of you who has supported the band in any way, whether it is by gigging with us, buying merch, or even just showing up any time we’ve played. It’s been amazing having all of you along for the ride and I cannot say enough that you guys are all the reason Rafters is alive and well. And ALIVE AND WELL IT IS!! Up next we’ve got sold out @fred_zeppelins supporting @wastedspaceband alongside @dekke.m and then our halloween party of course!! See you all there, you don’t wanna miss it!! 🏀HE’S BACK🏀 That’s right, our very own overthinking hooper OLIVER SHARKEY just touched back down in Cork City after a long summer away learning how to play barre chords @schoolofrockqueens His first gig back with us just happens to be next saturday, when we compete in the @fred_zeppelins Battle of the Bands Semi-Finals. ❤️ONE WEEK OF ‘IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE’❤️ So much has happened in the past 7 days. ‘In the mood for Love’ is officially a week old and we have gotten our first radio play courtesy of @maggie_blackburn! Unfortunately we were on stage at the time it was played and missed the broadcast but luckily our buddy Tadhg tuned in to RedFM at work and caught it (slide 2). We are eternally grateful! In other news, the song is officially over 1,000 streams and really all we care about is numbers so that’s great. In all seriousness, massive thank you to everyone who has made this possible, everyone who has come to a gig, everyone who has bought merch, streamed the single, shared it or even thought about it. You all make this happen by keeping local scenes alive. Again huge shoutout to Alex (@narrowdoorrecords / @thelastvinci) & Joe Clarke (@joebclarke) for bringing the song to life and of course Luke Sharkey (@zepheed) for providing us the artwork. 🐟HEAT 1 WINNERS🐟 Would you look at that! Very excited to anounce we have won the first heat of @fred_zeppelins annual battle of the bands despite some tough competition. Huge shoutout to @pinwheelfields & @lithium.lounge.official for sharing the night and of course everyone involved in the planning/organising/running of this fantastic night.
