No one ever looks back and says, “I wish I got involved less.”

Summer is the perfect time to start thinking about what you want your fall semester to look like. Explore organizations, check out campus opportunities, and make a plan to get involved when you return. Your future Aggie self will thank you 👍

Start exploring the GetInvolved platform before classes start, link in bio! A water tower labeled "Welcome to Aggieland" under a colorful, cloudy sky. In front, large text reads "I'll neverrrrrrrr." A smaller inset image shows a person holding a blue sign in a crowded setting.

Matthew decided to become an Aggie Orientation Leader because he wanted to encourage New Aggies with his own experiences coming to Texas A&M as an out-of-state student.

Now, he brings authentic perspective to New Student Conferences to help incoming Aggies feel confident about their transition.

Matthew's experience shows that no matter where you come from, you can find your place in the Aggie family and then turn around to help others do the same 🙌

But he quickly learned that some of the secrets of making the most of his time as a New Aggie are simply saying hi to people and soaking it all in 🤗

If you're feeling overwhelmed at your NSC - that's okay, you're not alone! Despite the busy schedule and nervous feelings, @aoltamu has great advice from the perspective of current students who have been in your shoes before.
