First festival in the books. Biggest take away is how important having a great team is. I’m so absolutely grateful to our amazing team of creative talented and wonderful people. @groundwaveshiphop is here to create community and opportunity to the people and that exactly what we did. For love, with love, always. TY CHICAGO! 🫶🏽

Wow, what an honor it was to open for the legendary @arresteddevelopment__ at Millenium Park. Yall embody love and hip hop, you met me with so much care and affirmation on my own identity as an artist, and you gave a hell of a show. ICONS! I’m a west side Chicago shorty to my CORE! I grew up in After School Matters programming, seeking opportunities to be on stage as early and for as long as I can remember. It was those passions and decisions that led me to this stage, one of the most iconic in Chicago.

I wanted this set to embody my last ep MOTH and my own metamorphosis, inviting my audience in to reflect on their own transformations. We had 2 weeks to prep for a 1 hour set. 4 dancers, 4 piece band, 1 poet, 2 featured artists, poetic transitions, props, graphics, merch, etc. I gave it all I had and in return was met with so much love. THANK YOU! To the people who believe in me, who show up even when it’s not convenient, who trust my vision, who work so hard for us all to succeed. I am so grateful. We killed it, sold out of my first merch drop, and celebrated til the sun came up. I’m still recovering 😂

THANK YOU! to my family, friends, mentors, teachers, community, and even strangers who continuously show up for me. You pour into my cup more than you know.

This is one more step to where i’m headed.
