A dreamy meadow picnic with a slice of homemade strawberry cake served on your grandmothers china, and some of your favorite girlfriends around.

I’ll be in this state of mind for quite some time.

#FashionRevolutionWeek2023 was a ripe space for looking back at all we have done and all there is still to be done to tackle our environmental and social issues. 💚 But above all, it was a place to gather around joy, to remember that like-minded people are fighting for what we believe in, creating the fashion industry and world we envision. One that is fair, filled with acts of mutual aid, and regenerative in its relationship with nature and other and other living beings. Our community manifested lots of events around our shared love of fashion and overall well-being:

Into The Studio, our Fashion Revolution Sustainable Runway was a success. “A fantastic show with a better message”, said @alyssamolly, from Minneapolis. 🫶🏼

In Lambertville, our fashion revolutionaries gathered around swapping, mending, and color analyzing, with the help of @higoosevintage, @pochoir.nyc, @jesruzicstylist. “I feel like I made many new friends and look forward to keeping in touch”, shared @higoosevinatge. 🥰

Manhattan #NYC was the space for a panel and clothing swap. It had the participation of positive materials expert @kaleightironenunes, @kellykp96 from @fash_revusa, and Melissa Cohen from MBC Consulting Solutions. ♻️

The Earth Day Summit by @recycle2riches was embodied by Clementia Martinez-Masarweh @dnathreds, designer and award-winning filmmaker, who spoke about waste and colonialism. 🌎

Chicago set the atmosphere to listen to singer, fashion thinker, and author of the book “Worn. A People’s History of Clothing” @yesfutureyes; DJ and fashion designer @productionmode; director of the @chicagofashioninc @annahovet; and maker @chelseaalexandrea. All gathered in the apparel industry board of the city @aibichicago, with the support of @clothandhomeshop, sellers of curated vintage pieces. 👗

These are just some examples of how awesome and active our #FashionRevolutionUSA community is in bringing together diverse citizens to work towards bringing forth a regenerative fashion industry. The work does not stop at Fashion Revolution Week.
