FÁBRICA presents LA SALA: “RHYTHMIC FEELINGS”, a group exhibition showing in NYC, November 13–15.

260 West 36th St., #201
11am - 6pm

-

Following our inaugural exhibition in Mexico City, LA SALA (Spanish for “living room”) returns as FÁBRICA’s traveling exhibition series, conceived as a space for intimate encounters with art, design, and conviviality.

Our second installment, Rhythmic Feelings, draws inspiration from Fred Moten’s ‘Black and Blur’, exploring collective rhythm, memory, and the ways we inhabit space together. At its center is Murmurations, a curatorial exploration led by @jillithmoniz . Bringing together artists whose work explore and explode boundaries to reimagine place, identity, and art as ritual, as call and response. Like a murmuration, the exhibition invites us to move intuitively between works, following rhythms and connections felt through the body.

@aesop sensory patronage enhances this edition of LA SALA, immersing guests in scent, texture, and taste throughout the space. Our public hours will feature a Botanical Tea Bar curated by @maryahananda and @victoriadegirasoles . Inviting guests to gather, pause, and settle in with intention.

Living in constant movement between Mexico City, New York, and their farm in Canalejas, has inspired Diana Campos and Farsh Kanji to create their design studio Apapacho.World (@apapacho.world). Working closely with local artisans across Mexico, they create contemporary design objects that honour ancestral traditions.

Each object begins with an idea of shape and form in their design studio before being brought to craftspeople, who bring it to life using natural materials such as stone and clay. This balance between modern design and traditional handcraft is what makes Apapacho so special, and why I wanted to speak with them to learn more about their process.

Our interview is available now on Substack via the link in bio.
