Let’s Cook Together: The Art of the Perfect Polpette with APCI UK! 🇮🇹❤️

Our regional masterclass series with @apciuk (Associazione Professionale Cuochi Italiani) - @fdassori2007 and @chef_giuseppe_silvestri continues with the ultimate symbol of home, warmth, and family: Le Polpette (Italian Meatballs)!

From Sunday family lunches in the nonna's kitchen to the recipes Italian immigrants packed across oceans, polpette are more than just a dish—they are a cultural icon that brings generations together around the table.

Watch and save the video below as our APCI UK master chefs share the essential secrets to mastering tender, juicy polpette just like nonna used to make:

The Secret to Tenderness: Why stale bread soaked in milk (never dry store-bought breadcrumbs!) is the non-negotiable key to a melt-in-your-mouth texture. 🍞🥛

The Perfect Meat Blend: The ideal balance of beef, pork, and rich Grana Padano/Parmigiano or Pecorino to lock in maximum flavour and moisture. 🥩🧀

The Slow Simmer: Cooking the meatballs directly in a rich, slow-simmered tomato passata so they absorb every drop of savoury goodness. 🍅✨

Get ready to bring the heart of Italian Sunday cooking straight to your own kitchen!

A very late post from back in May, but gratitude is always right on time.

Honoured to have been part of the APCI UK Masterclass at SicilyFEST London, showcasing Pasta Sorrentina alla Campania alongside Chef Andrea Jeriri and the most amazing Chef Giuseppe Silvestri whom is the president of our amazing organisation. Thank you to APCI UK for this incredible opportunity and to everyone who made it such a memorable experience.
