This beautiful wedding’s color pallet kept reminding me of the interior colors of Elizabeth Bennet’s home (obviously the superior 2005 version of Pride and Prejudice 🙃), especially the blue. The stone arch in the wedding suite was painted to look just like the arch the bride and groom got married under (covered in wisteria like the art!) and the map has all the detailed spots that the wedding weekend included at @camplucyoncreek .

Cheri spotted these felt bird houses on a trip with her Valentine group to Estes Park last week! They immediately inspired her, so she purchased 17 of them to create a tablescape for friends to enjoy while dining in the Colorado cabin of @carriecatalani over the long weekend!

Swipe to see the steps she took from foraging in the woods for moss + branches + logs + pinecones to putting down a runner of vinyl wrap to protect the tablecloth to layering the natural elements with green placemats + wood slab paper mats + cloth napkins, dishes and goblets + candles and table lamps.

Cheri's husband, who is a fan of "Lord of the Rings," nicknamed her creation "The Shire." 🛖 🍄🪵🍄‍🟫🍂

This weekend we celebrated the wedding of Cheri's son Sutherland Stith and Linda Ruvalcaba. We kicked off the wedding weekend with a rehearsal dinner for 100 given with love by 19 host couples on Friday night at the Voigt Center. 👰🏻‍♀️💚🤵🏼‍♂️

For years Cheri has been collecting vintage oak biscuit barrels from England to be used at Sutherland's rehearsal dinner, so they set the tone for the evening, featured on darling invitations by @aperfectpair_sa.

Other hostesses added their biscuit barrels along with beautiful green and white ginger jars, temple jars and planters + wicker urns and vases from @featherfluffandflings. A mix of ferns and white flowers added a fresh feel. 🌿

The head table was set with blue and white Spode china and beautifully monogrammed napkins that were a gift to the couple. A vintage French champagne bucket and crystal flutes for toasting were also gifts to the couple, who sat in chairs adorned with boxwood hearts! 🤍🍾🤍

Hostesses prepared a wonderful meal of pork tenderloin, salad, rolls and a baked potato bar + appetizers and desserts, including custom cookies by @cookiescookiessa. 💚🍪

All Alexandra and Hayden told @statueofdesign was white flowers with pops of greenery. “We wanted David to have his way with the florals for the reception. The rest was a surprise, and he totally killed it!” With @weddingplanners_inc bringing the full vision together, their reception was everything they imagined and then some.

Since both are San Antonio natives, the Dennises wanted a hometown wedding that exemplified the city that raised them. That meant saying their vows at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church, the same church where the bride’s parents were married 30 years ago, and celebrating just down the road at the @wittemuseum with a live band that kept the dance floor going all night. 🎷✨

A colorful spring wedding suite! Favorite part was the tiny butterflies 🦋

Thirty-six years ago, Cheri started a Valentine Supper Club to celebrate love and marriage. There are seven couples, and no one has gotten a divorce, moved away or passed away so that is something to toast! (This year we missed one husband who was sick and one couple who was babysitting grandchildren.) 🥂

We meet once a year in the month of February, which we did last night on February 14. We rotate houses, and this year @cheriestsa was the hostess with the mostest, of course!! Her doorway and fireplace mantel were over the top!!! She beautifully styled two romantic, candle-lit tables with china, crystal, silver, linens and seasonal accents from Feather, Fluff and Flings! 💐

ENGRAVED printing vs THERMOGRAPHY printing

Ever wondered what sets them apart? Here's a brief explanation to go with the pics~

Pics 1 and 2 are Engraved. Lettering or text is carefully etched into a metal plate, then inked and pressed into thick paper. The printing is raised and highly detailed. The back has a "bruise" that is a mark of quality. It is elegant and traditional.

Pics 3 and 4 are printed using Thermography. It is a cost effective way to create beautiful raised print on the surface of the paper. It looks luxurious, and as you can see in pic 4, the back of the paper doesn't have any marks. This is the telltale sign that it's not engraved.
