IBJJF PAN PACIFIC 2026 🥈🥈

Not every day goes your way, but every result has a lesson. I trust the path God has set for me, even when it doesn’t go how I planned. Head down, keep working, and leave the rest in His hands. 🙏

Grateful for everyone who was by my side throughout this camp, through all the ups and downs, and leading into competition. To my professors, teammates, family, and everyone who showed love and support over the weekend, thank you. This journey wouldn’t be the same without the people around me, and I genuinely couldn’t be happier to share it with you all. All glory to God.🤍

Yesterday was special! Wonderful day in Byron Bay, seeing the entire Jiu-Jitsu community having fun and growing together.

It marked the start of our mission, supporting the event and even hosting a free seminar with our talented Thalison Soares, making the day even more special!

Our mission: building the future of BJJ through stronger schools.

First time jumping into the coaching role today, assisting @thalisonvsoares at the kids seminar @theacademybyronbay

I knew being a Jiu Jitsu nerd and a Dad would probably make me enjoy it… but I didn’t realise how much fun it would actually be.

Turns out getting paid in high fives, chaos and tiny humans trying to choke each other is pretty bloody enjoyable.

Definitely keen to get more stuck into the coaching side of things over the next year.

Yeah the groms!

Give your best to score way more points than your opponent… or even better, get the submission! ⚡️✨

Tight battles are way too stressful when your victory ends up depending on the referee’s judgement. We feel the pressure, but refs can be overwhelmed by the moment too.

With about 20 seconds left and down by 1 advantage, I felt the time running out. The technique came naturally and, thank God, Marcelo Garcia’s butterfly guard was with me for a few seconds 🙏🏼🥋🦋

That was all I needed to secure the victory.

Never leave it in someone else’s hands. 😱🥇

🇺🇸 Alpha Miami Grappling prospect Sidney Katz had an incredible run at ADCC Youth, taking home the gold in one of the most stacked divisions of the event.

Two years after losing to Isaque Lima, Katz faced the Brazilian prodigy once again and came out on top in the rematch for the title. 🏆🔥
