I tried the bokeh effect with this awesome group of ladies on WhatsApp! ✨ I actually finished this page a whole month ago, and I was so excited to give this effect a try.

I’m really happy with how the bokeh background turned out, but I’m still not entirely sure about the overall vibe of the page. I feel like it’s missing a little contrast and light to really bring everything together. I thought it would be better if I didn't look at it for a while. But a month later I still feel the same.

I’m so proud of this one! I just love the color palette and the atmosphere this page has.

I followed a background tutorial by @apicturedpurpose, and it was the perfect starting point for coloring the rest of the page. I took inspiration from the background colors she chose to create the rest of my palette.

I’m also glad I finally got to use that black acrylic marker. I’d never touched it before this page! 😆🖤

I tried to hide the drawn-in moon and use the big circle as a sort of moon instead. It could also be a frame, or whatever you want it to be. 😂 Either way, I love how it turned out! 🌝

I love coloring so much, but most of the time I don't have the energy for it. So this weekend I finished this page, and I like it, but I don't love it.

Then welcome to #coloryourclothing

I wanna see your outfits!!!

Read the rules carefully because I think Ive cooked something really really fun lol.

SO Rules

👔 Choose an outfit from your wardrobe, that you love a lot or that is your favorite and choose these colors as your color palette to color any illustration you want

🧥 On the second slide upload a picture of yourself showing up the outfit you chose for the color palette inspiration. You can even go as far as include your shoes a hat. And everything counts towards the color combos for the palette.

The main goal of this color along is to see the face behind the account wearing their favorite outfit

👚 Are you shy or want to remain private? I got you. Dont worry. I want you to participate too. Simply take a picture of your outfit and show it. So it doesnt include you. Just the clothes. (Theres an example in the last slide)

🩳 The options are limitless. See me rocking one of my fave outfits when you swipe and then Ive included how it would look like in a Maria Trolle illustration. This is obviously not colored by me. I used chatGPT to color it just so you can see how it is supposed to work

👙 Tag me in your coloring using the hashtag correctly. Instagram ruined the hashtags recently making it harder for me to track your entries. So make sure you do anything possible so I can see your post. Tag my insta @samwayscoloring on your picture. Send me a DM if you see I dont comment your post after several days of you posting it. Upload your coloring on stories and tag me there too if you wish. I dont want to miss a single entry.

🦺 Remember you can decide to show yourself with your outfit or only show the outfit itself. But you have to include it so it shows your color inspo. So its both the coloring and the outfit. Include both in your post.

Finally finished this animal crossing inspired piece. I joined @ohuhuart 10th Anniversary Worldwide Art Competition ✨ Then and Now: Recreate in Color 🎨

I originally colored this page, by Hygge Artful, a year ago for a buddy color group, when I was still exploring my style and learning to add depth, dimension, and texture. I love buddy color groups because they bring a sense of connection and joy through sharing creativity with others who share the same passion.

I chose to revisit this page because it's one of my favorites. I love the line art, the scene, and everything it represents. Over the past year, I've discovered that I especially enjoy coloring nature: trees, plants, flowers, grass, and water; and adding rich details and textures.

Coloring has greatly improved my mental health and completely changed the way I experience everyday life.
