Congratulations to the graduating class of 2026 🎓

A special congratulations to my mentee, @makedamechele 🤍 A now double Ivy grad, a Master’s in Social Work mami, and the definition of the Bronx breaking barriers.

When I was first assigned to be your mentor at BxD, I was nervous. I truly wasn’t sure if there was anything I could teach you. Our first day on site together was the launch of the Bronx Cannabis Hub, and from there we built so much together;working on the BLOC, watching you rise into leadership as part of the first Youth Advisory Board, advocating at RBG meetings and seeing you lead other interns while collecting signatures for Participatory Budgeting in the South Bronx.

Something must’ve gone right because you came back to Bronx Defenders the very next summer, ready to learn even more.

But the truth is, you taught me just as much along this journey. I’m so grateful to have experienced your light, your joy, and your brilliance as you continue reaching new heights. I am endlessly proud of you and can’t wait to continue celebrating all that you’re becoming.

And a special thank you to @aplace4healing for assisting me on this shoot. Your skills with light are divine

Ms. Black New York, USA 2026 👑 —I dedicate my reign to the legacy I come from 🖤✨

I’ve always said that being a Lee has been one of the greatest pleasures of my life. 🤍 The love my grandparents, Daddy, and Uncles have poured into me has been a driving force behind the confidence I’ve carried throughout the years. They’ve truly been the wind beneath my wings.

While none of them are here with us today in the physical world, I feel them every single day — and I hope I’m making them proud. 🪽✨

Here’s to knowing where (and who) you come from, and using that as fuel to achieve everything you want… and more. 🔥🗽

Extended cut with Naderson: whether a painting or photograph, the process of creating a finished body of work involves several moving parts, vision, and a trusting team. Our crew came together with our own mediums at Naderson’s art studio, and ideas were brought to life, movement to set, and loads of inspiration to take home.

On and off the canvas, screen and pages a joining force can create a ripple effect that ultimately turns into something bigger than everyone in the room. Although our creation, we also bring YOU in the room to enjoy, interpret, be inspired.

Enjoy our extended cut, from the crew 🤍
