One day it’s an idea. Then suddenly, it’s this. Building @trysmore has been one of the most exciting, terrifying and rewarding things I’ve ever done. There were so many moving parts behind what you see in this video, and so many people who said yes to something that, not too long ago, only existed in my head. To @hugosocialclub, thank you for giving S’MORE and all the brands involved a home for such a special day. To @thickplot.co.za and @vickialexia_, thank you for transforming S’MORE into the most delicious yoghurt and sharing your cycle syncing knowledge. To @suelehouse, @michellee.labuschagne, and @yusuf.bazan, thank you for creating an unforgettable red-light experience and integrating a special part of your world into ours. To @nails.by.kriston, you’ve listened to the ideas, the updates, the chaos and everything in between. Thank you for spoiling some very lucky winners with their own NBK experience. To @apolloyaffes, who somehow managed to capture not just what the day looked like, but exactly what it felt like, thank you. To every person who came, whether you’re a friend, family, creator, customer, or someone I’ve only recently had the privilege of meeting, looking around that room and seeing all of you there for something I created is a feeling I don’t think I’ll ever forget. And to @jaredsolomon, you’ve seen all of it. You’ve pushed me when I needed pushing, grounded me when I needed grounding, and believed in what I was building from the very beginning. Thank you for standing beside me through every version of this dream until we got to this one. And finally, to everyone who followed, shared, ordered, messaged, and cheered from afar, thank you. Here’s to S’MORE, and to doing the things you can’t stop thinking about 🤍

After a long time away, I’m finally ready to return and share again. This past period has been one of the most difficult and transformative times in my life, shaped by deep personal loss and change. I stepped back to be present with my family, and in that space, my work quietly became a source of healing. I’m now ready to share a body of work that carried me through my grief. The Egg of Life / Fragility Series is a collection of delicate, hand-formed pinch pots, shaped until they become almost impossibly thin - like broken eggshells. For me, the egg is a symbol of life’s beginning, yet here it appears fractured, revealing gold within. These forms speak to the fragile nature of life, the inevitability of loss, and the quiet strength we carry. Each piece became a kind of meditation - a gentle, grounding process through which I could hold grief, memory, and love. What began in pain slowly transformed into something softer… into beauty. This series is an invitation to reflect on impermanence, on love, and on this beautiful life we live - imperfectly perfect. Thank you for being here 🤎 Dm me if you would like to find out more. • • • • • • • • • • #ceramicart #contemporaryceramics #griefislove #ceramicsculpture #wabisabi
