We are Minnesota’s Original Apple Fries! 📍North Side of Dan Patch Ave between Underwood & Cooper Streets at the @mnstatefair 🍎 #applefriesmn

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🍏🍎🍟 Apple fries turned out to be the Splett family’s ticket to the State Fair. Minnesota’s Original Apple Fries was among the top-grossing new food vendors of the 2026 fair, according to early reports from the organization (sales figures are still being audited).

Now, at stadium gigs, customers are seeking out the Brat Dogs stand just to buy apple fries, tracking it down even when its location was initially listed incorrectly.

Another great year at the fair with record-breaking first day & first Friday attendance. 2026 gave us the craziest crop art lines yet, Apple Fries, which seems to be the new Pickle Pizza or Amish Donut state fair hit for years to come, and about a 30% increase in Creative Activities baked good entries! The official new foods didn’t really deliver, but the unofficial new foods were really where it was at. Another bookend year for me, attending the fair on weekends and working back in New York on weekdays. But the real icing on the cake was sharing my first day/visit tradition of going with my grandpa, with CBS Weekend News.

Cheers to a successful 2026 and onto 2027!

Twelve days of fun, running August 26th through Labor Day, September 6th, 2027. 🌽 🎡🐄 🌭
