THE Virginia Alpine Ski and Snowboard Team tore it up @snowshoemtn (Silver Creek) this past weekend at Regionals. The other teams got lucky that our spring break doesn’t line up with Nationals bc I just know we would’ve slimmed out all competition.

After 2 restful 😴💤🛌 nights of deep and refreshing slumber at the dreamy Marilinton Motor Inn, UVA turned UP on the slopes.

Despite going in with self deprecating levels of low expectations, Men’s Alpine Skiiers brushed off the dust and placed 6th as a team, securing themselves a Nationals qualification. Jallison led the way placing 12th in slalom to close out his @uscsa career (😢), and our star freshman Jim led the way in GS (the future is bright ☀️).

Women’s Alpine Skiiers placed a delectable team 3rd showing the competiton what the south east has to offer. Laura Lee Baldwin took 6th in both Slalom and GS followed by Bori Beast in 7th for GS (67 😹😹😹)

If you hadn’t heard enough about our podium spots quite yet, Freestyle snowboard is here to take the cake. TV destroyed his second and last ever USCSA race weekend placing 1st 🥇 in both Rail Jam and Slopestyle (thank you Ben Kessler for your work in getting him here), followed by freshman PETER J snagging 3rd in rail jam. Women held up their end of the bargain as well with SOFIIA snagging 2nd 🥈 in RJ and CFLYNN taking 3rd 🥉 in Slopestyle. Needless to say that some rails got jammed.

Alpine Snowboard took two top 10 finishes with SOFIIA MF MAKOVENKO PLACING 1st in GS and PUCKLEY TAKING 7th Place. Donek wishes they could say these were their athletes. @doneksnowboards plz.

Last but certainly not least. For Women’s freeski ZaZa snagged 8th in Slopestyle 🤞🤞. We also brought a Men’s freeski team to Regionals. It was very nice to have them there and we really love them. ❤️❤️❤️ Congratulations to all our athletes for another awesome season!!
