POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’ve been writing morning pages on and off for years, and it’s one of the practices I keep coming back to. It’s also one of the practices I share on my retreats as well as with those who are practicing with me online.

To me, morning pages (or journaling in general) is one of the greatest tools to take our yoga practice off the mat and into our everyday lives. In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali describes what can be understood as the two pillars of practice: abhyāsa, practice (showing up again and again), and vairāgya, non-attachment (letting go of how you think it’s supposed to be - aka perfectionism and comparison etc).

Doing the morning pages, you get to see embody these. You show up, do the thing (write - even and maybe especially, when it’s hard). And you don’t judge or attach to what lands on the page.

The question I hear the most when people try it is;

“am I doing it wrong?”

And that’s the beauty of this practice.
You can’t.

That’s why I think this practice translates to so much in our lives where we don’t do something or stop doing something, because we’re so attatched to the outcome and scared of doing it «wrong», when none of us really has the answer to what is «right» or «wrong» anyway.

We’re all just practicing our own way of being in the world.

You can read more about this practice, as well as in-depth philosophy essays, journaling prompts and recorded practices, on my substack<3

@insync.club Radiant Sun Morocco Retreat 🌺

I don’t know what I was expecting, but 6 days in Morocco with @insync.club has left me looking for the right words to fully grasp what happened. 3 Nights at the most beautiful Riad with tiles that made me want to change my whole interior 🥲. Practices with a cat who could not care less about our savasana (we love you Francesca). A brass workshop that turned out to be one of the most spiritual experiences I’ve ever had (I’ll share more on that later in a separate post). 3 Nights in the desert, wide open, calm and so beautiful. And oh the shared meals!! Although I could write a whole post about the food itself, what really made them so special, was the conversations <3

Andrea from @insync.club and I met in Portugal for about 10 minutes 2,5 years ago, and I guess that was enough for me. There’s something really inspiring and magnetic about her. The way she connects with you, and connects others, I think I could instantly tell that I needed to follow her somewhere. And when I heard this was going to be her last retreat, I had to come. Thank you for letting me be a part of it 🫶🏼

Andrea is now pouring everything she’s built over a decade of retreats into something new - The Inner Sanctum. 7 weeks, online, moving through the chakras and feminine archetypes with Kundalini, Vinyasa, breathwork and journaling. I’ll be there too, and can’t wait for this journey to unfold 💫 If you’ve ever wanted to practice with her, this is it. You can find more info here: @insync.club <3

And I’m bringing with me so much inspiration, wisdom and clarity into what I’m creating for my own offerings🌀

I can’t believe our retreat in Kenya is only 9 weeks away!! And you can still join us - we have a few spots left! Link in bio 🫆

MANA Yoga + Ambient
@mana_oslo x @apracticeofbeing

At MANA Warehouse 23/10 kl.17:00

For over a decade now, yoga has been my anchor. Through every transition, every season, every chapter. That’s why I founded @apracticeofbeing; to create immersive spaces that bring together yoga, music and community. Spaces where we can explore practices that help us better understand our own lived human experiences.

If you know me, you know my work (and passion) sits at the intersection of these. Yoga, Music and Community. These last years of being head of Community at MANA as well as my time as resident yoga teacher at Morning Beat, and leading sessions at festivals both locally and internationally, that passion has only grown. So honestly, this was only ever a question of when.

I’m therefore so excited to finally share the launch of MANA Yoga. A free offering at our events going forward, built around yoga, philosophy and sound meditations - bringing everything I love into one place ❤

Our first session will be at the next MANA event, coming up on October 23rd <3

For this session I’m joined by @williamfrenchh, hi-tech shaman, partner in crime and founder of MANA, who will trade his signature sensor gloves for an ambient set of his own unreleased, ethereal soundscapes to hold space for the practice.

Expect a gentle, intuitive flow carried by music, a space for us to slow down and reconnect before a full night on the Dance Floor.

All levels are welcome!! Come as you are <3

Doors open at 16:30 - The Yoga starts at 17:00

NB! Bring your own yoga mat

𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔: Eternal Summer 22.08.2026 - drop a comment to get an invite

Summer is coming to an end, but not without one last gathering under the sun. We’re closing out our best season to date with one final open air on August 22nd.

Eternal Summer is built around community, music, and a special milestone for MANA.

We’ll be starting in the daytime with BBQ, a community art expo, yoga and a panel discussion about our plans to build a MANA Festival in 2027/28 where we want your input to help build it together.

We’re also launching MANA Yoga in collaboration with @apracticeofbeing - a yoga project based on traditional yoga philosophy and practice, yet catered to ravers. Open for all levels, and included in your ticket!

As day turns to night, we’ll build up to a full-on rave with a curated mix of local and international talents on a heavy sound system.

We can’t wait to share this day with you<3

Love,
MANA Crew

Some captured moments from our retreat at @telemarkyoga this spring 💚

A weekend dedicated to practice, rest, nourishment, nature and connection. We feel so grateful that we get to create experiences like this, and could not have imagined how our vision would come to life in the most beautiful way, and create the kind of memories we’ll remember forever 💫

Curious about what our participants are saying?

“Busy” can become such an easy way to avoid slowing down long enough to actually feel what’s going on inside us.

That’s why we’re gathering at Kaya Imani with @apracticeofbeing 🌴

Not for a packed schedule or a retreat that leaves you more exhausted than when you came. Just space to soften a little.

There’ll be somatic movement that feels more like play than exercise, sharing circles that feel safe and real, and soundscapes by @williamfrenchh designed to help you let your guard down for a while 🌱

The retreat is led and facilitated by @ceciliekris, who’ll be guiding the experience throughout ☀️

Only 5 spots are left.
Details and booking at the link in bio.

Awe, grounding and creativity

THINGS THAT MAKE ME FEEL PRESENT AND ALIVE

Sunlight, music, practice, teaching - sharing - learning, reading, writing, spending time outside, my nephew’s tiny little fingers, getting my hands full of sourdough and patiently waiting for it to rise -taking-its-time + cutting through a sharp crust (my kind of asmr), time alone, time together, love, inspiring people & birdsong…

Spring
A practice of slowing down
so I can see
-and feel-
everything

While no retreat days look the same, what remains constant is the intention to nourish your whole being. Mind body + spirit.

From slow grounding mornings to nourishing meals, movement, rest, and connection, each moment at Kaya Imani is an invitation to come home to yourself.

We have two retreats coming up this year:
☀️ Enlightenment Intensive (20 Oct to 6 Nov 2026) hosted by @kjellll.gustafsson
🌱 A practice of being (15 to 20th Nov 2026) hosted by @apracticeofbeing

We would be delighted to host you 💗

Join our online practice-community 🌀

Hey you, Cecilie here 💘
I want to share something with you that I’m veeeery excited about!!

A Practice Of Being is back in a new format on Substack, and I hope you’ll subscribe and practice with me there.

So, what’s new? You can still subscribe for free and receive occasional free posts, online practices, and letters from me. But from April and onward, you can also join my new in-depth practice community where you’ll receive a monthly recorded practice, in-depth philosophical inquiries, and journal prompts - as well as a subscriber-only community chat for connection, reflection, and accountability.

This is for you that’s ready to commit and start building your practice. It’s for you that’s done with being an over-consumer, and seek a clear direction to build consistency.

This is a curated space for the ones seeking depth and clarity through repetition, consistency, philosophical inquiry, guidance, and support.

A quick note: If you pledge your support for being a paid subscriber, you will not pay anything yet. I’ll turn on paid subscriptions once I’ve started to post the monthly practices from April (with a soft, free launch in March), so if you pledge your support that is just a great indicator for me that you’re interested in joining. Once the paid subscriptions are active - there’s no binding, so you can come and go as you like <3

I’m putting my heart into this new platform and can’t wait to finally have a space to share my practice with you.
Let me know if you have any questions!!!
