Hosted and curated by Adán Bean, Lit Café is an evening of poetry, storytelling, and provocative readings that celebrate the power of the spoken word and cathartic nature of language to heal, challenge, inspire, and bear witness. Rooted in the African oral tradition, this curated gathering features artists whose work is bold, provocative, and timely.

There’s something deeply powerful about a woman walking boldly in her purpose while surrounded by friends/family who gather, uplift, and pour into her along the way.

I am beyond grateful for and truly enamored with my circle. This incredible tribe show up for me in ways that touch my heart—popping up at the studio, lending a listening ear, driving and flying into town, making me laugh through the chaos, believing in my dreams, curating dinners, and supporting my artistry not only as longterm friends but as some of my most cherished clients.

To be surrounded by who genuinely see you, celebrate you, and stand beside you is a blessing I never take for granted.

TRANSPARENCY POST:

My 💖 is FULL! If you’ve been following me for a long time, then yo know that I don’t do fashion shows often. To create a collection is extremely time consuming, filled with long days/nights, selecting looks to transform, maintaining inspiration, and even second guessing your own “gift” 🎨 at times. The bigger challenge is also knowing that I am in a nichè of my own and trying to configure how to best represent myself and my craft to showcase.

So when I got the call from @posheproductions expressing a desire to feature my work in their upcoming show, I knew I had to RISE.

Thank you to every friend and stranger who showed up, shopped, and welcomed my artistry in this fashion realm.The response was moving. To receive a “STANDING OVATION” has made my cup runneth over in gratitude!

For those who missed it, don’t worry, I’ll be flooding your TL shortly! 😂😜🤭

Last, but certainly not least, thank you to my righthand @driebaker on this project for all of the BTS grind that most don’t get to see. 💐

To my dear friends Tammy and Ace — thank you for loving me so intentionally and for creating the most beautiful pre-birthday celebration (for me) yesterday. Every detail felt thoughtful, every moment felt sacred, and every surprise reminded me how deeply seen and cared for I am. And somehow… everyone kept the secret (even bae 🥰).
