“Beneath a suffocating veil of ash and fog, a wave of unrelenting black metal descends upon Oklahoma City.

Four agents of darkness will gather within the walls of The Sanctuary on December 12th to glorify the futility of man, the absence of light, and the crushing weight of existence. Discordant echoes forged in the bleakest corners of the underground will be exhalted under December moon.

Spread the word. Summon the faithful. Prepare for the descent. Heed this warning.”

Homesick - Aprilmist (2023)

Extremely honored to share that my good pals in @aprilmistofficial have entrusted me with managing their low end requirements.
A very satisfying “full-circle” moment for me, personally- having come from doing merch for them occasionally to gain entry to local 21+ Kansas City shows nearly a decade prior.
Not only that, we have an upcoming show! Next week!!!
-Here’s my new rig that I scored specifically for the job.
-If you enjoy this video of me focusing real hard whilst practicing “A Moment’s Ghost”, come see it happen in person when we play with local homies @cataphract_us in support of @spectral_decay_666 (SICK) & @suicide_forest_azbm on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026 at @farewellkcmo (6515 Stadium Dr. KCMO)
21+, $15 (pay what you can)
🚪🕖/🎶🕗
I would be greatly enthusiastic to see you there.✌️

This song is beyond epic. Aprilmist features some of my favorite people in kc music history. Dustin wrote this track about his best friend and companion passing and the passion behind it is obvious. I had to cut it to the last three minutes - but it gets the point across. I actually didnt think I enjoyed black metal very much until I heard aprilmist (and then got into deafheaven and alcest and other more melodic black metal bands) But this was my gateway band into re-exploring the genre. I absolutely love this song and I feel their next release is going to turn some heads. ALSO this is their new bassist first show with them and he did such a killer job (im sorry I didnt catch your name!!!!) Anyway - full set is up on my youtube page.... I toned this reel special for the song and I think it gives it a magical feel to it. HOPE YOU DIG IT! Check out their most recent full length "homesick" on your favorite streaming services - it rips as well!
