Still buzzing from Saturday and that vibe !!!

One of my favorite times on the decks in recent memory and got to open it up for 2 of Chicago's finest ( @djcolette + @djheather ) and they did not disappoint 1 bit !!

Big love to @wiggleroomtoronto & @aptentertainment for including me in this all fam vibe and happy 20 years of @omrecords Ladies, youve been so inspiational over the years !!

I still remember banging those mix cds in my integera back in the day and still play some of those gems to this day ✨️

This Saturday ill be warming up the booth for 2 of Chicagos finest DJ Heather and Colette as we celebrate 20 years of @omrecords with the @wiggleroomtoronto fam and we got a 4am last call so we running late and couldn't be more happy to rock it for dis 1 !!

DJ HEATHER B2B COLETTE 4 hr set gonna be bananas 🍌

I'm on 10 - 12:30 with Cee Blaise live drums and percussion and Colette will be mic'd up giving us live vocals as well 🙌

Thank you to everyone who came out to @outset_chicago on Friday, Sep 25th.

The feedback I’ve received since the show has been incredibly meaningful, from “one of the best musical journeys I can remember in recent memory,” to “I danced more than I have this whole year,” to “incredible selections, build, and programming, mixed exceptionally well,” and even “it made me cry.”

That Means A Lot. ❤️

I really appreciate having the opportunity to program music like this on a stage and sound system like that. To play much of my own musical works, taking a room on a true musical journey through some Ambient-Sonic-Painting-Down-Mid-Tempo-Slo-Burn-Jazz-Disco-House-Music and back again is an honor.

Sets like this let me stretch into the more expansive side of my musical nature: taking my time, building slowly, moving between moods, tempos, genres, textures, and eras, and allowing the room to arrive somewhere together.

Big thanks to @satin.jackets team, the amazing @outset_chicago staff and crew, and Kate for the invitation, incredible hospitality, beautiful venue, and absolutely top-notch production. Let’s run it back soon. <3

And a special shout-out to the talented @nathanmette for the wonderful photo and motion captures from the evening.

Very excited for a month of meaningful events with some of my favorite artists, in a few of my favorite places!

OCT 7TH → Honored to be invited by the legend @djloribranch to join her on @thevintagehouseshow for a conversation about music, culture, Chicago, and beyond at @northwesternu

Lori has been an important voice in Chicago house music for decades, so getting the chance to sit down, exchange stories, and connect perspectives across generations means a lot to me.

I’m looking forward to digging into where this music has been, the people who shaped it, and how we honor that history while pushing the culture forward. Tune in at @wnur89.3 / WNUR.ORG / 89.3 FM on the Chicago airwaves for a lively conversation.

OCT 17TH → @purveyorunderground x @viva.acid x @smartbarchicago

It meant a lot to have one of my favorite artists, the homie @demuir, reach out and invite me to be part of this night. When he called with the idea of bringing together himself, @iambrandontv, Viva Acid, and me, it was an immediate yes. There’s a lot of alignment in how we think about the music, its history, its future, and carrying it forward.

And there could hardly be a more fitting place than our home on N Clark St, the room I’ve played more than anywhere else in the world and a place that has been part of my story since I was a teenager.

OCT 25TH → We round out the month with Meet Me On Milwaukee in Wicker Park, a longtime stronghold in the development of Chicago’s North Side house music sound.

Milwaukee Ave. will be closed to cars and opened to the people, and I’ll be rotating tunes with two South Side gems: deep selector and cultural advocate @ctrlzora and longtime homie/legend/personal fav artist @boowilliamsmusic, alongside @itsdjkrucial. Join us on the patio at @sweetgreen for a relaxed afternoon of memorable music and hangs.
