Officially finished my last day of DPT school. 🥹❤️ It’s hard to put into words what this moment means. These past three years have challenged me, humbled me, and shaped me into the clinician and person I am becoming.

I’m incredibly grateful to God for carrying me through every high and low, and so thankful for my family, friends, classmates, and professors who believed in me, encouraged me, and helped me get to this point. I truly couldn’t have done it without each of you. 🙏🏽

This chapter may be coming to an end, but the journey isn’t over yet. Next up is my final clinical rotation at Rancho Los Amigos 🩼🧠, and then, by God’s grace, graduation this December. 🎓👩🏽‍🎓

One last push before I can officially call myself a Doctor of Physical Therapy. The finish line is finally in sight… stay tuned. 🤍

Med staff family! With football season looming it’s that time to get physicals done. This year is a little bittersweet @ontariochristiansathletics as long time friend and ATC @amber_mckee is moving to Texas pastures. With that said she’s leaving OC with a great med staff and got to introduce 2 young bloods from @apudpt2026 to the system. Give back to your community!

So thankful for this rotation and the incredible team at AHGL. Huge thanks to my amazing CI for making this experience unforgettable and helping me gain so much knowledge - one rotation left until graduation! 👩‍🎓

You’ve got a complex patient with chronic knee pain, a recently tweaked ankle, and sometimes their hip hurts from time to time.

Where do you even start?

Simplify your assessment process. Look at your core components. Know the flow to these components like you could do it in your sleep.

Use a posture exam for clues.

Get a gauge on their functional capacity and potential movement habits.

Look for low hanging fruit of common areas needing strengthening.

Clear out potential range of motion deficits in relevant joint or tissue areas.

Use this information to find an early entry point to get them moving.

There will always be extra testing to add based on the person’s specific case. But don’t overthink the basics of the exam.

The goal is to spend less brain power on what you are doing and more on what you are finding.

We say goodbye to our awesome student PT from Azusa Pacific University as she wraps up her 8-week rotation with Lexi! She brought energy, compassion, and dedication to every day — and we loved having her as part of the team. She was even able to join us for our Angels tailgate! Her Fun Friday Theme: Western. Yee Haw!

Wishing you all the best on your journey to becoming a DPT — your future is bright!

This week, the APU Class of 2026 DPT students are heading out for their first clinical rotations, another milestone in their journey to becoming exceptional physical therapists.

I want to give a special shoutout to @christian.lynton and @randallrogann for their hard work and dedication during @mlivingston_dpt basketball internship over the past 1.5 months! I am proud of you guys for showing up and putting in the work on your days off from class. It has been awesome to work alongside both of you and pour into your professional growth!

Best of luck to @apudpt2026 as you guys start your clinicals! Go out there, learn as much as you can, and make the most of your experience!
