6’7” wing Arden Conyers is a developing perimeter threat who’s starting to carve out a real role with the Charlotte 49ers. After beginning his career at South Carolina Gamecocks, the sophomore forward has taken a noticeable step forward with increased minutes and confidence.

And that’s a wrap on my last season with Charlotte Basketball.

Man… what a ride. Four seasons. ‘23 to ‘26. Different teams, different personalities, wins, losses, all of it. And I can honestly say I feel so grateful to have been a part of every version of this journey. But this team right here… this 25-26 season… yeah, it hit different.

I’ve worked with a lot of teams, but this one felt special from the jump. I came in a couple games into the season, but somehow it felt like I had been there the whole time. The energy, the personalities, the chemistry… it was real. It was genuine. It was FUN. Like having 15 big brothers. And I mean that literally and figuratively because y’all are tall for no reason.

This team gave a real definition of what “team” actually looks like. The bond, the support, the way y’all showed up for each other every single day… that doesn’t just happen by accident. Shoutout to the coaches too, because that kind of culture is built, not just hoped for.

And y’all let me be me. I got to create new traditions, celebrate wins in my own way, and somehow became the official “post game W” photographer. The fact that y’all knew exactly where to find me after every win meant more than you probably realize.

But more than anything… y’all made me laugh. Like real, deep, from-the-stomach laughs. And if you know me, you know that means everything.

I remember someone asking me if I see basketball in my future after college. And I couldn’t even give them a straight answer. Because truthfully… if it’s not like this, if it’s not this kind of environment, this kind of team… I don’t want it. That’s how special this group was to me.

I really feel like I was blessed with this team for my last ride.

Forever grateful. Forever proud. Forever laughing about something one of y’all said.

TMAK out ✌🏾

Year 6, not the ending we wanted, but a group I’ll always love. They made me better, challenged me, and reminded me why I coach. Thankful for every lesson, we keep growing. 💚
