Après 10 ans à courir après un ballon ovale, puis presque 10 ans à en faire autant dans le product management, je prends aujourd’hui une toute autre direction. Pour cette rentrée, je me lance dans un métier qui me fait rêver : la construction et l’installation de décors. Depuis quelque temps, j’avais envie d’une activité plus concrète, plus manuelle. Mais sans réussir à passer le cap. Après le rugby professionnel, ma première reconversion avait surtout été guidée par la nécessité. Je suis allé dans la continuité de mes études, avec beaucoup de chance, beaucoup de belles opportunités et des personnes qui m’ont fait confiance. Mais plus récemment, je me suis questionné sur mon envie réelle de continuer dans cette direction.L’arrivée de l’IA dans ce type de métiers a été un catalyseur. Elle m’a surtout conforté dans l’envie d’aller vers ce que j’avais envie de faire : créer, fabriquer, s’adapter et travailler ensemble. Cette fois, ma reconversion est un choix. Cénotaphe Film 16 mm, 07 mn 53 s Un dispositif acoustique - des enceintes placées sur une plage - remplace l’océan disparu. Le son des vagues qui se trouvaient là auparavant est diffusé par les enceintes et tourne en boucle, répété à l’infini. La mer, numérisée, amplifiée, n’est plus qu’une onde saturée, un flux de données, un signal émetteur. An acoustic device - speakers placed on a beach - replaces the lost ocean. The speakers broadcast a looping sound, the sound of the waves that were there before, repeated ad infinitum. The memory of the sea, digitized, is nothing but a saturated wave, a data stream.
