hug what you love!!!

Alabama FCCLA, it’s been an honor and a humble privilege to have served as your State President this last year. FCCLA is home to me, and I can’t wait to continue my journey as an active alumna and a proud advocate for CTE. The experiences and friendships I’ve made along the way are nothing short of irreplaceable and worthwhile. Though this chapter is closing, I’ll never forget the open arms that Arab FCCLA and Alabama FCCLA welcomed me into. This organization gave me a place to be fully and authentically myself, and I know that I am changed for good.

From the bottom of my heart, thank YOU, Alabama FCCLA, for standing tall with Larkin Saint and entrusting me with this role. Until the next time!! ❤️❤️❤️

I am so excited to share that I am the 26-27 Alabama FCCLA First Vice President. I am so excited for this opportunity and to see what great are going to happen through it! Thank you to my support system, I could not have done this without you. Being a 2x state champ in Star Events and Arab FCCLA’s 15th state officer is a role I carry with pride and am very grateful for!

SLC 2026 is one for the record books!

I am so honored to have been chosen as your 26-27 Alabama FCCLA First Vice President. This conference brought on many things to celebrate from me becoming a 2x state champ in Star Events to becoming the 15th FCCLA state officer to come from Arab FCCLA!!! I could not have done this with support from my family, my chapter, and my incredible advisors, Mrs. Medlock and Mrs. Cantrell. Their endless encouragement and efforts to get me where I am today is something that I will always hold close to my heart. Alabama FCCLA my new team and I am so excited to get this year going and see all of the amazing things that we will do alongside all of you! Thank you FCCLA for this new home I have found❤️

National Program Spotlight💵
Natalie Gibbs, Arab High VP of Fundraising completed a national program on Financial Fitness! She was able to talk to the Arab Elementary 5th grade students about how taxes work and how important it was to spend your tax dollars locally! They were challenged to shop locally this holiday season and turn in receipts to prove they did so. They had a competition between their Ron Clark Academy houses to spice it up! Congrats to the Amistad Red house on winning‼️ As a whole the 5th grade class spent $3,687.17 in tax dollars, meaning that $1,382.69 (37.5%) goes back to Arab City Schools.

there is definitely something special about Washington, D.C.!!

my first year at Capitol Leadership was truly one of the most impactful experiences — from meeting with our Alabama Senators and Representatives, to touring the U.S. Capitol with an Arab, AL native. my last “big” trip as a State Officer has reminded me of the gratitude i feel to be in this position. thank you, @nationalfccla for providing me with the opportunity of a lifetime!! (and see you back in D.C. for NLC!) ❤️❤️

I do want to take a moment to honor my AMAZING advisors (in both HOSA and FCCLA), because ultimately, I would not be where I am today without them!

Arab’s “Wonder Woman” Mrs. Pettit inspired me to compete for the first time ever with HOSA last week. With all of the stress of competing with HOSA, running for FCCLA State Office, and competing with FCCLA, it was very clear I was close to having a come-apart. However, Mrs. Pettit held me together and told me to focus on what I could control now and prioritize my worries. Fun fact, she even is a licensed bus driver and drove both HOSA and FCCLA to Montgomery!

Mrs. Medlock and Mrs. Cantrell are such a power duo and do so much for all of their kids. Taking 37 competitors to SLC is no easy task, not even mentioning their State Officer Candidate. But these ladies pull through every. single. time. From late nights listening to every single project, reviewing rubrics, and just being there for our members, you ladies are nothing short of spectacular!

Make sure to thank YOUR advisor, because they deserve recognition just like mine! ❤️‍🔥

Academy of Chapter Excellence 2024🌹

Arab FCCLA and HOSA chapters were so thrilled to participate in such an immersive experience for our chapter officers! I got to meet so many new people and reunite with some of my favorite FCCLA friends! Learning about other CTSOs is always so interesting, but no matter which one you represent, leadership qualities are common to all of us. Thank you to all who made this event possible, see you soon JLDC! ❤️

I was never involved in clubs at the beginning of high school. I didn’t even think of joining until around my sophomore year. Though, in my junior year I took FCS with Mrs Cantrell and she got me into FCCLA. I wasn’t really prepared to be confident in front of people, giving speeches and talking to businesses, after COVID where I got used to not talking to a lot of people. Since I’ve joined, I’ve made friends all around the US. Friends from Texas, South Carolina, California, Iowa, Hong Kong, South Dakota, Colorado, and more. I got to travel to Montgomery multiple times, go to Denver, CO, and many other fun locations with FCCLA I’d otherwise never had done. I’ve met a bunch of wonderful people, and I doubt I’d be half as confident without this club. I thank both Mrs Cantrell and Mrs Medlock for making this club so great.
