POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Spinning a great new EP today from an old friend out of Chicago. Listening to “A Rational Friend” honestly felt like sitting in the same room with him, sharing a drink and breaking down that Letter to Maria. 😊

Just wanted to share the vibe with you guys.
Hey Chicagoans and all my fellow music lovers!
if you want to check out my friend’s work just search for ‘A Rational Friend’ on spotify.

Wish you the best on this journey, Donny! 🥂

A RATIONAL FRIEND. Letters to Maria. 45rpm
@arationalfriend

Sometimes online connections really do come full circle. The power of bonding over music is real. I’m a big fan of this friend — always bringing that rational, zen rock energy when you need it most. Donnie’s voice is powerful and expansive, crafting lyrics like letters to his dear mother Maria, while skillfully strumming his guitar like a master. Congrats on this one, pal. Keep making music. But for now, I’ll take this. 🌺

If you are a human with a breath in your lungs this EP will surely take it from you. We become closer by hearing the stories of others and relating. Some are hard to tell. So are hard to hear. But all are necessary. And I cannot stress enough how much you should listen to these.

Can’t believe Parlor Songs #6 was already over a month ago. Such big thanks to @arationalfriend and @kwaylasoul for sharing their gifts and @filmwithtommy for capturing these awesome photos. Colleen, Jessie and I had the @softholler debut that was everything we could have hoped, and are slowing working on some new material to share…

Reflecting a lot lately on change and gratitude—I’m moving, so it turns out that this was the final edition of Parlor Songs in the original space. But don’t worry, we will see you all again in my new apartment, which I plan to fill with even more music. Coming soon to Roger’s Park ✨✨✨

Hey Songbirds! The season has turned and we have made it halfway through the winter. Come commune/celebrate in my living room with @arationalfriend @kwaylasoul , and a little folk project called @softholler that my friends Colleen and @ohjessiebear are piecing together with me.

$5-10 suggested donation at the door to cover some snacks and drinks is recommended, or make a donation to your favorite local mutual aid group and tell us about it so we can support them too.

Please RSVP at link in bio for location details.
