Tourist Peak from Almarasan 👍💪
Пик «Турист» от Алмарасана.
12 hours. Tourist Peak (3954 m) is a favorite peak of Almaty tourists. It is located in the Bolshealmatinsky spur, south of the Big Almaty Peak, and is separated from it by the Zhosaly Kezen Pass. The ascent to the peak is along the northern slope, from the Zhosaly Kezen Pass. It is better to refrain from climbing in winter and spring, due to the avalanche danger.

Big Almaty Peak (BAP) is one of the highest peaks of the Zailiyskiy Alatau, located in close proximity to the city of Almaty. 2
The peak is 3,681 meters above sea level. It has a pyramidal shape and is clearly visible from Almaty in clear weather. 23
At the foot of the mountain is the Big Almaty Lake, a popular place for recreation and tourism. It is located at an altitude of about 2,511 meters above sea level. 2
The Tien Shan Astronomical Observatory is built on the slopes of the peak. To the south of the summit, on the Zhosaly Kezen pass, there is a meteorological post and the Tien Shan high-mountain scientific station, known as the “Cosmostation”. 1
Climbing BAP requires good physical fitness and special equipment. Before the hike, you must familiarize yourself with the safety rules and obtain permission to visit the national park
