Also, can we appreciate transparent pricing?! Arca charges per area rather than per unit, with pricing from R1900 per area. The exact number of areas you need is obviously very much a ✨you problem✨ 😂

I think I’m slowly getting used to this version of life 🥰 It’s chaotic and definitely looks very different these days, but I actually love that I can bring Conrad along for so much of it. Honestly feel so blessed!

And I’m learning that having a baby doesn’t mean putting yourself completely on the back burner. Sometimes you just bring the baby with you, make it work and carry on 💙

Motherhood is messy, beautiful, exhausting and so full… and I really wouldn’t trade these days for anything!

Seriously though, I get sooooo many messages asking about where I get my skin treatments (botox, microneedling, chemical peels, lips, etc) done and the answer for the past 3 years has been @arca.wellness 🦋

I know there’s a lot of info and clinics out there, so I’ll tell you what I’ve told all my friends who are also @adevanheerden ‘s patients now 🤭:

1. She keeps it real and conservative - which I love. If you’re looking for a ‘yes-man’ who will blindly do what you ask, she ain’t the one for you.

2. She is a whoooole medical professional so she looks at the ENTIRE system to treat the root cause (not just sell you treatments that are like putting a bandaid on a b*llethole).

3. She meets you where you’re at. She looks at your home care too and will recommend something that fits your budget and lifestyle.

4. The team is lovely! If microneedling is eina - you tell them and they work accordingly.

5. She genuinely cares about her patients! On a recent visit we even discussed my PCOS situation to see how it’s affecting the rest of my regimen. Having that kinda input and support means THE WORLD.

Anyways, she’s amazing and I think they are absolutely worth a visit! So if you’re looking for the best aesthetics clinic in Joburg - you know where to go 😘!

December is a short 3 1/2 months away.

If radiant skin is your goal, then you need a really good plan for the next couple of months.

As you know, I don’t gate keep, so here is what I’m planning:
- September: microneedling with NCTF
- October: chemical peel
- November: Botox and Profhilo
- December: Profhilo and a chemical peel

At home I’m also using Phloretin CF and PTIOX from @skinceuticals 👋🏼

I always get questions about microneedling, and honestly, the numbing cream makes it so much more comfortable than people expect. The post-treatment redness? Totally worth it for the glow that’s on its way 🍅😂

Not all vitamin C serums are created equal. Back in the early 2000s, Dr Sheldon Pinnell at Duke University identified the exact formulation criteria a topical vitamin C serum needs to actually penetrate skin and deliver results. These became known as the Duke parameters:

• L-ascorbic acid concentration of 15-20%
• A pH below 3.5 (this is what allows penetration through the skin barrier)
• The addition of vitamin E and ferulic acid for antioxidant synergy and stability

Doing our bit to keep the economy alive through the winter blues 🙂‍↕️😜🩵

For reals though, very very over the winter chill that comes with June and July, BUT telling myself that we’re through the worst of it and slowly on our way to spring 🥹.
