Last weekend, this incredible cast and crew brought ‘Solid as Stone’ to life as part of the Seattle Horror 48. I could not be more proud of these passionate, talented local creators who each brought relentless dedication and positivity to set. Very special thanks to @nickysmitfilms who helped make it happen. Excited to share the fruits of our labor on the big screen, Monday October 26 at 6pm at the SIFF Uptown Cinema. #seahfphorror26

Movie poster by @hobo_films

Life aboard a decrepit spaceship in deep space is interrupted by a rare message from the captain at the back of the ship…

Original Sin is a collaboration of local artists and filmmakers. Shot in just 48 hours at Harbor Island Studios in Seattle, the film harnesses hand-built sets and practical effects, demonstrating what can be accomplished with a shoestring budget, a strong idea, and fantastic talent behind the camera. 🎥

Directed by @sombresam and produced by @coldjacketproductions

Our cast and crew reunited on August 22 to premiere our inaugural film Original Sin. It was rewarding to return to Seattle where the project was born.

We can’t wait to share more about Original Sin in the upcoming weeks!

This past weekend I had the immense pleasure of premiering my directorial debut at the Beacon Cinema! We started the project about three years ago, filmed it almost two years ago and it feels fantastic finally being able to share it with people. So many talented individuals worked on this movie and I'm incredibly grateful for all their hard work and dedication. Making a movie is a blast and I look forward to doing it again!

Directorial Debut 🎬

I’m blessed to have had this amazing crew and cast to make it all happen. It wouldn’t have been possible without each and every one of them 🫶🏼

“THE DEGENERATE” coming soon 🎥…..

Cadence has been promoting video poetry for 8 years, but we are only 6 months old as a nonprofit. Our organization is entirely run by co-directors Rana San and Chelsea Werner-Jatzke. We understand the importance of #GiveBIG, but struggle to afford paying to participate. If you are in a giving mood during the current onslaught of fundraising, please consider donating to Cadence, the Pacific Northwest’s only video poetry festival. Donate through our fiscal sponsor at the link in our bio!

What will your donation support?

The majority of our budget goes to paying artists, workshop teachers, programming partners, and our artists-in-residence. All of our video poetry screenings are free or sliding-scale to attend. Generative workshops are free or have suggested registration fees and scholarships available. Offering submission fee waivers to artists and sliding-scale tickets means sharing historically underrepresented voices. Your donation helps Cadence offset the cost of equitable access to our artistic platform.

48 hour horror!! picked up massive order for crafty and burritos for writers. picked up glazers order. wrote story with the team belonging to my amazing lovely friends. @akmazzoli generously let me borrow his car. luxurious drive home at 4 am. slept 2 awesome hours. did lighting for @filmvandals which wrapped at an insanely unreasonably reasonable hour. went home and discovered Alec’s car got towed because I’m very stupid. soldiered on and ate my first uncrustable ever (I do not like that thing). did more lighting for team belonging to my amazing lovely friends and met more lovely fun amazing people. ate their last jimmy johns sandwich. did glazers inventory couldn’t find several things. ate overcooked steak chunks (leftover prop). slept very hard. found a way to get a notarized letter from the internet and picked up the car today from the tow yard. I love movie and the people who work on movie :):)
