@archfilmlund Archfilm Lund price 2026 The new museum By Birgitte Sigmundstad We are proud to announce that the ArchFilmLund 2026 Prize goes to The New Museum by director Birgitte Sigmundstad.
Through patience, fine-grained observation, and discretion, the director manages to embed the spectator within the inner workings of the decision-making processes of a highly political project.
Filmed over many years, the documentary distills the most representative moments from the various layers of conflict and interests involved in such an identity-defining project. It reveals the naked truth while maintaining both a humorous perspective and a tenderness for the deeply Nordic democratic process.
Thank you, Birgitte, for this invaluable documentation of how a high-ambition project touches all aspects of society, and for enriching the perspective on architecture for both architects and citizens alike.
Congratulations on winning the ArchFilmLund 2026 Prize!

This Saturday is the debut screening of 'Strikeout' by our fountain colleague Lars-Henrik Ståhl at Arch Film Festival in Lund.

The film explores the question of whether the LTH fountain could be considered a piece of ‘Hyperart Thomasson’ — an obscure Japanese conceptual art movement that records urban phenomena and architectural objects divorced from their original purpose. Intrepid in his research, Lars-Henrik went to Japan and posed the question directly to the experts…

WHERE: KINO, Lund
WHEN: 17 October, 8.30pm

The screening will be followed by a discussion between Lars-Henrik Ståhl and freelance film curator & pedagogue Julian McKinney @julianleemckinney @abrovinka

A vida é cheia de ambivalências. Em dias de tanta preocupação com o futuro do nosso país e do nosso continente, vou recebendo com alegria notícias das seleções de O DIÁRIO IMAGINADO em festivais de diferentes lugares. ‘Ephemeral Landmark’
Environmental Netting & Artist : KIMVI
Jiangsu province.China
2023

In March 2023, I created a performance piece inspired by the demolition and reconstruction of the “Old East Gate” on the edge of the Zhuihong Bridge Scenic Spot in Jiangsu Province, China. Through this performance, I captured the essence of that transformative moment.

The work was originally featured in the exhibition Because of a Bridge at the esteemed BFM Art Centre, curated by Chen Ping and Qian Zhaofeng. I am delighted to share that a two-minute version of the filmed performance was officially selected for screening at the Lund International Architecture Film Festival in Sweden (13–14 October 2023). This renowned festival unveils contemporary and historical links between architecture and film, and beyond screenings of fictional and documentary works, it also hosts seminars, debates, exhibitions, workshops, and lectures.

In March 2025, I had the honour of screening my performance at vac.art Vietnam Art Collection in Hanoi as part of the TEAROOM program, Against a Glass Wall.

Additionally, I am thrilled to announce that in February 2026, Ephemeral Landmark was selected as the monthly winner in the Drone Films category for Season 18 of India’s Sundarban International Film Festival Monthly Film Awards.
