@archimania has been a great partner with AMICO over the years. A few years back, firm CEO/Partner @barry_alan_yoakum was kind enough to trust AMICO with his home and allow us to share this video. Archimania's work is extremely thoughtful; take a minute to check it out. In this video, you will see the APEX01 gradient mesh applied to this beautiful home project. The mesh is mounted in a track, allowing the screens to move with the sun to provide high-utility shading.

With its hybrid mass timber structure, expanded public realm, and community‑anchored design, the new Memphis Brooks Museum of Art creates a forward‑thinking model for sustainable cultural institutions.

Atelier Ten partnered with @herzogdemeuron and @archimania to shape a building that elevates visitor experience and minimizes environmental impact. Our whole building life cycle assessment (WBLCA) helped shape material choices for reduced embodied carbon. The sequestered carbon in the mass timber and wood cladding contribute a 26% reduction in embodied carbon.

Tomorrow, Atelier Ten's Carbon Practice Leader, Amy Leedham will be presenting our work on the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art at the University of Memphis Timber Talks. Amy will share insights, honest lessons learned, and a look at what’s possible when we rethink how we build.
