LUMA APARTMENT |

Achieving a distinctive architectural identity requires a thoughtful understanding of material selection and its interplay with lighting and proportion. In this project, the careful integration of these elements has resulted in an atmosphere that is both warm and sophisticated, conveying a sense of understated luxury.

[ Project Information ]
Design Year: 2022-2023
Architect: Amirbahador Baradaran
Project Type: Mixed-Use Residential and Commercial
Location: Urmia, Iran
Scope of Work: Façade Design

[ Design Challenge ]
The primary challenge was to redefine and redesign the main façade of a mixed-use residential and commercial building after the masonry partition walls had been completed and the existing façade construction had already been finished, leaving no possibility for modifications to the existing façade configuration. At the same time, the client sought a contemporary and distinctive architectural expression for the residential component, while ensuring a clear visual and functional distinction between the commercial and residential uses.

Tri-Pod Canopy Retreat | A Suspended Forest Retreat

A sustainable, minimalist retreat designed to blend with the untouched forest while minimizing ground disturbance.

The concept features a suspended triangular platform supported by three steel legs inspired by the organic structure of tree branches.

Two prefabricated, mobile tiny cabins serve as private sleeping suites, while the central module accommodates vertical circulation, reception, and service functions—creating a functional layout while preserving privacy.

Tri-Pod Canopy Retreat |
